Saw performance is good, cuts well but has a lot of plastic in it. Accuracy is ok, cross cut tool is a joke, lots of play. I will have to replace.

The saw has a ton of power, more than I expected from a portable. However, out of the box the riving knife was a mess, I’ll have to spend time fixing it. The only other big complaint is the hard start. I am shocked at what a bang it makes on start. I am wondering if I got a bad unit…

This is my first table saw. I am an novice DIYer who is an absolute tablesaw beginner. I was going to buy a second hand Dewalt but jumped at this one after seeing it on sale. I concurred with other reviewers that the miter gauge is slightly loose which gave away some precision. It is also true that the hard start (vs soft start) cause a little jump if you don’t have a proper stand. I am planning to build a stand and a sled so those things will not matter ultimately. The saw may be loud but I am working outdoors so it does not bother me at all. If your shop is small, then consider wearing hearing protection. I think that is the all the cons for this saw. Everything else is great. Powerful, rugged with excellent construction, very organized storage for all accessories, easy to use. daddo blade compatible, everything was squared and adjusted properly right out of the box. Riving knife did not have any problem like the others mentioned. I give it a 4.5 stars. Close to perfect!

Great Saw.

Assembly was a little confusing, seemed like the order of putting together parts was not efficient. Once assembled, the saw cuts like a dream. lots of power and very nice fence. For a portable table saw, everything a person needs.

Very satisfied excellent saw. Accurate cuts, fence, power. Storage on its side in my limited garage space doesn’t take up much space. This was the feature (storage) along with the 10 inch blade that beat out the Dewalt. Yes it’s heavier but i don’t carry it far so not a concern for me, besides a heavy table saw is a better saw. I do precision cuts, and have plenty of experience with table saws.

This is my first table and let me say that this is just what I needed! Easy set up right out of the box. Easy to use and since I am new to using a table saw that was a great aspect of the 1031. Comes with all the safety instructions one might need. I double checked the blade with right angle and it came with in a hair of being a perfect 90 degree. Weight is not bad, 60lbs but with the handles placed in the right areas this made carrying the saw feel easy. The start up is smooth when you hit the start button and it is not a loud as you might expect. I look forward to learning more about this saw and doing some projects with it, must say that I am extremely satisfied with my new 1031 saw.

Well built, sturdy and semi-portable. Powerful motor wont bog on the tough wood pieces. I attached to a portable stand with quick release mount. You buy this one for getting stuff done not for looks or gizmos..Bosch always one step up from the run of the mill yellow stuff.

I had the larger Bosch Jobsite table saw with Gravity-rise stand. It was excellent. I had to give that up when I moved to a smaller garage. I chose this saw because of its compact size. I have room for the saw and my car in the garage. This saw is also very sturdy – steel construction. Well engineered: convenient storage of rip fence push stick and wrenches. The miter gauge is a bit flimsy, but rarely used. Also, Bosch is the only compact saw that will accept a Dado set… and accepts a full 10″ blade. When unboxing I found some loose screws in the box. These belonged to the lower blade cover. I replaced them and tightened all.One very noticeable difference from my previous saw is the violent jolt when the motor starts. I plan to add a soft-start circuit.Another thing I found objectionable is the cord storage. It is almost impossible to wind the cord on the built in cord holder… and once you’ve figured out how to jam the cord into place, you’ll notice that the built-in clip on the plug is too small to clip onto the cord.

This is a little beast of a saw. I am not sure how they get to rate this as 4HP. The motor is tiny. It’s strong and rarely stalled the blade out, however, there is a significant difference in the power of this saw vs my 3HP Powermatic. That said, for a portable table saw, this thing does a fantastic job. The fence is strong. The clips that hold the push stick under the table are poorly engineered. They broke very early into the life of the saw. Otherwise, its a great saw.

I’m loving this little saw. It’s got plenty of power, it’s easy to stash out of the way, and it’s been a fantastic addition to my garage.
