It worked wonderfully. Better than I expected. I used it to bust out some difficult spots that I was having trouble with when using a two-man gas powered auger for digging post holes.

I bought this attachment for my Demolition Hammer from HF. It is super for digging in Hard clay soil in San Diego, CA. It still looks almost brand new after more than 2 solid hours of digging a 5 foot deep hole in the side of a hill. I used it to create a compost bin pit in the side of a hill and stairs and a step garden – This bit transforms a light duty Jack Hammer into a power shovel.Tool could be a few inches longer. But durability is great!- PaulC aka Mrbios

Guys this is a strong yet lightweight edition to your jackhammer. I highly recommend purchasing online, and having them deliver it to you. It’s so easy to do. This tool is worth every penny. It’s sharp and stays Sharp.

Used clay spade to dig tunnel under house to repair broken water pipe. Worked great in hard clay soil. Clay spade worked great. I had to buy because rental department at Home Depot in Bastrop Texas didnt rent a clay spade that fit their rental tools and tool department didnt sell a tool that fits their clay spade that they sell!?!I would have preferred to buy a tool and a spade or to have rented both but now I have this fine clay spade . This reflects poor management in Bastrop Texas, the clay spade worked fine.

I purchased this tool to dig 7 post holes for 4×4 post. A power auger was useless. It just scraps the hard clay soil. This tool mounted on an 18 ft.lb. demolition hammer cuts through the hard clay soil with ease. The curved spoon shape chisel helps prevent the the blade from being wedge in the hard soil. I had a hard time pulling out a pointed chisel at only 10″ deep. This chisel comes out easily even at 12″.The bad thing is that this chisel is only 15.5″ overall length, not 17″ as specified. Home Depot described it as 19″. I don’t know where that came from. When I called Bosch technical help, they said17″ is the old specification. They redesigned the tool. It is now 15.5″. They are working on correcting the description error. I was surprised at that answer coming from a German company. If a design got changed where it is now shorter by 10%, it should have a different part number.Trying to dig a 24″ deep hole, one would come up a little shorter than otherwise.I had to use an 18″ x 1″ chisel to finish off each hole. Took a little longer and a little more work.If this tool was 20″, it would be perfect.Although a little short, I would still recommend this tool.

Good Bit at a fair price. SDS Max bits hold up well. Bit will penetrate hard clay.

I had to move up a bit in size for rotary hammers – first bosch is the best there is – second this shoval works well for areas with a lot of hard clay – saves a lot of time then switch over to the chisel to finish the concrete

Bought this with the Bosch 14 amp Demo Hammer 11316EVS. I live in N. California with rocky soil, I dug a 25’ trench 18” w X 18” d with a shovel and pick axe: 3 hours. This spade bit & demo hammer cut thru the soil with ease. I dug a 24” x 24” x 24”deep hole for a tree in 15 min.

Look to be of good quality but I returned it would not fit my hammer drill but I’ll give a 5 star for quality and price.
