Had the saw less than a year and have used it a good bit building Adirondack chairs from pressure treated 1x materials. Cuts well and handles smooth but to save my life I cannot get the blade square to the sole plate. This causes the cut to be at an angle, not 90 degrees. I have tried numerous Bosch blades and also to resquare the saw to no avail. Makes scroll cuts look horrible.

I worked as a plumber for many years and always could rely on Bosch for heavy duty applications. When I first viewed this product I was a little skeptical concerning the price. When I used this product to cut out a home made full size handicap stencil for the parking lot I maintain I was truly satisfied with the results. I cut through 1/2″ plywood with many turns with no problem what so ever. The motor was very powerful and once again I was thoroughly pleased with Bosch. I have used other brands of quality jig saws and nothing compares to Bosch. I have a small cabinet shop and we keep one in the shop and one for installations. The Bosch jig saw is heavy duty and meant to be used everyday. I can get smooth clean cuts on pre-finished cabinetry and plywoods. I wouldn’t trust any other saw to do this as you will get tear out and chipped edges. I use nothing but Bosch to get quality results.

I bought this tool back in 2002 to replace a tool that lasted only 3 months. I cannot say enough about how excellent my Bosch has been. It has easily cut through steel, oak, sheet wall-board and laminate flooring without any problem. Sure, the blades got dull, as they should, but never broke any blade. It doesn’t vibrate like all other brands, and we all know the brand names. Need a Good tool ? Go buy a BOSCH.

Very smooth, excellent speed control, very little vibration. My first attempt with homemade circle cutting jig resulted in derailing the blade from the rear support roller. I hadn’t aligned the pivot sufficiently with the blade edge. Adjusted and success on next try, 16 3”radius holes in 3/4” AC plywood for my Paulk work table. Found the JS260 very handy for trimming up my connections between the Skilsaw plunge cuts and the radiused cuts too. I would have appreciated an LED at the blade line but am very happy with the JS260.
