I’ve used the saw to make some plunge cuts in plywood. So far, it’s done the job fine. However, I like tools that have longevity, and only time will tell whether this saw meets that criteria.

I had an old jig saw for more than 20 years, which I decided to replace.I started with a $30 saw, then watched some videos and really learned what features make a good one.The Bosch is a good one.One really good thing is the lack of vibrations- the old one jumped a lot.It has a really good system for installing and removing blades.I think the orbital settings will prove useful for cutting a range of things up to a small tree that needs some trimming (I got some 5 inch blades for that).I like the little knob that can be used to control the maximum speed. There are a lot of blades available.

My father gave me a Craftsman jigsaw as a gift about 30 years ago and I’ve been using it ever since. The old Craftsman was fine in its day, but the head was so loose I had to angle the unit 15-20 degrees in order to cut a straight line, and when cutting circles or turns it was a nightmare.I’m doing some home renovation and couldn’t afford messy cuts on trim, so I spent about $75 on this Bosch model. Wow, I didn’t know what I’ve been missing. This unit isn’t even a top-of-the-line model and it’s solid as a rock. Not only that, no more hex-head set screw to change blades.I couldn’t be more satisfied with this jigsaw. If you’re a DIY guy who needs a quality jigsaw at a great price, I would recommend this model.

Blade type required should be more prominently displayed on box so that people like me will buy the correct blades the first time;; otherwise, I am very happy with my purchase.

I bought this jig saw after using some super cheap jig saws with U shank blades. I love this one. Works great for the work i do. I mostly do rough cutting work

Good jigsaw, it worked well for the job I wanted it for. The variable speed is handy and the fan blowing detritus away from the blade is very useful. My only peeve is that the lever to release the blade is stiff and difficult to access especially if you have arthritic fingers.

I really like the quick blade attachment and the availability now of reversible blades…. I used it to cut a small hole in sheet rock for a shower head and it did it’s job. I hadn’t used it until recently so could not rate it. Bosch has a good reputation for quality tools. This tool meets that expectation. An added bonus it comes with a tool soft case for the tool and blades, etc. Keeps it clean and organized.

Very light and easy to use. Have not used it much. It cut through hickory floor boards pretty easily.

I’ve been using this style of Bosch jigsaw for 30 years, I’ve had many of them, I currently have both a corded, and cordless model…..I won’t use anything else

I’ve only used it. Couple times so far but has meet my expectations easily. Plenty of power smooth cutting. I like how the blade loads. Very happy.

I bought this a few weeks ago, as a combo with a 18pc blade set. So far, has worked exactly as intended, cuts clean and accurate. It feels solid and well made, time will tell how durable it actually is. The only reason I gave it 4 stars, is the lack of a vacuum port, and the allen key bevel lock. Neither one is a huge deal. The blower does a good job clearing the cut line, so unless you’re working somewhere super clean, the dust port isn’t critical. As for the bevel, 99% of the cuts I will make will be 90 degrees, so trading convenience for a simple, solid bevel lock is fine by me (It does have notches to make it easy to set to 90/45) All in all, a solid saw, and a competitive price. For what I paid, and with the blade set, it was too good of a deal to pass up

I purchased this as the reviews were good for Bosch. I have always used Bosch blades on my old saw, but found this on sale, so decided to buy it since I had a project in process. I really like the way the saw cuts and the stability of it; although it is a little heavy compared to my old jig saw. Overall, I am very pleased with the quality of the saw. I would have given 4.5 stars, but no option.

I was using a skill saw for a few years a d finally upgraded to the js260. The difference was night and day. The pressure sensitive trigger is probably my favorite part.

Easy to change blade, does move dust away from blade area. Only improve on would be to add a light to the work area.
