I purchased the saw a year ago to cut both wood and metal. I like the saw and also selected it for the speed thay one might attach a blade to the saw. However, when cutting a metal sheet on an angle the blade broke within the housing and there appears no way to remove the broken component so that I might use the saw again. This is a significant design flaw as I see others have reported the same problem. I also note that it could be rectified buy allowing this component to be opened or it being able to be detach and replaced, which may increase the cost of the device by a few dollars but this would make the saw more resilient.

I finally gave up on my old B & D jig saw, did some research and settled on the Bosch JS260. For its price and its features, it’s proven to be perfect for my needs so far. Equipped with new Bosch t shank blades, it cuts lovely circles in 3/4″ plywood (bean bag toss boards), holding closely to my pencil lines. Nice storage case and obvious quality, I expect many years of use from this tool.

I bought this saw in Dec. 2019. This is an awesome saw. The handle is comfortable and it has a powerful 6 amp motor is a variable speed. Most od all I love the new T-blades. My “old” saw used old flat blades which actually sometimes came loose. Bosch makes great products so I highly recommend this Saw!

I bought it specifically to cut a window on a metal building, I had tried with a rotary saw with a metal blade with very poor results. This Jigsaw was amazing I was able to cut 4 windows in record time. Dod not have any problems with the blade load as I had read in other reviews.

I’ve been woodworking for about 8 years now and the third tool I bought was this jig saw. I use this saw primarily for breaking down rough boards before taking them to the planer. This saw has plenty of power and the ergonomics is nice. The variable speed makes cutting certain material or even thinner material nice and gives me more control. It’s performed very well over the years and I still use it to this day. I use the Bosch T234x blades when breaking down my stock and it cuts nice and fast. The carrying case could be a touch bigger but i’m not going to complain about it. The cloth case is nicer than the plastic cases other brands give you.
