I bought this tool back in 2002 to replace a tool that lasted only 3 months. I cannot say enough about how excellent my Bosch has been. It has easily cut through steel, oak, sheet wall-board and laminate flooring without any problem. Sure, the blades got dull, as they should, but never broke any blade. It doesn’t vibrate like all other brands, and we all know the brand names. Need a Good tool ? Go buy a BOSCH.

I’ve had the saw for a few months now. I’ve had other Bosch Jig Saws in the past as well. The JS260 performs very well, as do all the other Bosch power tools I currently have or have had. As far as I’m concerned Bosch is the best overall tool maker in the business!

Had the saw less than a year and have used it a good bit building Adirondack chairs from pressure treated 1x materials. Cuts well and handles smooth but to save my life I cannot get the blade square to the sole plate. This causes the cut to be at an angle, not 90 degrees. I have tried numerous Bosch blades and also to resquare the saw to no avail. Makes scroll cuts look horrible.

When I used this product to cut out a home made full size handicap stencil for the parking lot I maintain I was truly satisfied with the results. After using it almost daily for more than 20 years as a flooring contractor, I can say it is worth every penny I paid and more.The tool-less blade change is has worked flawlessly.This saw works as well today as it did when I bought it, which is impressive since I’ve dropped it onto concrete from off my table sawdozens of times.It doesn’t look pretty anymore, but there is no need to replace it.When it does die, another Bosch will replace it

I have read some reviews on this saw that said the blade release mechanism can get jammed. Bosch includes special instructions on how to release it in this case, so I don’t consider this an issue.The saw is fast and smooth, and easy to hold. I’ve had no problem cutting with it. It blows more dust around than my previous jigsaw, but this is because it purposefully blows dust out of the way as you cut, so that you can see lines.

I purchased the saw a year ago to cut both wood and metal. I like the saw and also selected it for the speed thay one might attach a blade to the saw. However, when cutting a metal sheet on an angle the blade broke within the housing and there appears no way to remove the broken component so that I might use the saw again. This is a significant design flaw as I see others have reported the same problem. I also note that it could be rectified buy allowing this component to be opened or it being able to be detach and replaced, which may increase the cost of the device by a few dollars but this would make the saw more resilient.

I really like the way the saw cuts and the stability of it; although it is a little heavy compared to my old jig saw. Overall, I am very pleased with the quality of the saw. I would have given 4.5 stars, but no option.
