I love this saw,, but i have to say that even cutting slow in 3/4″ select pine I have a problem with a straight cut or curved cut.. It want to bevel.. I’ve tried different blades but have the same problem.. i love the dust blower and the blade change is awesome. The stroke of the blade must be too long to cause this bevel problem. heck, maybe it’s the operator. Otherwise, it”s a great saw that’s built to last a lifetime.i

Relatively light easy to use for Long periods. The dust catcher does a good job but it also has a vacuum hose attachment for a one and a half inch hose It lives up to all the reviews that I’ve read.

Excellent sander. The dust catch box works very well. The thing I like the most about this unit is the variable speed. It allows for finesse when fine sanding of details are required, as well as has good power for the more coarse sanding projects.Very please with product.

Not a tradesman but I have a few hundred hours on orbital sanders. I have always been a porter cable guy and most of those hours on an orbital have been using a PC 333. .. the last three orbitals I have owned and while they were ok, they are clearly outclassed by this bosch. I have had a bosch jig saw for nearly 15 years and LOVE it! It was with some hesitancy that I chose a new orbital but the PC333 was shaking itself apart…the third one to do so on me. I decided to revisit my assumptions and also up my budget. I only have just over an hour on this unit but I’m already very impressed with the performance, particularly with the dust collection…I wasn’t too focused on that feature B/C I assumed I would use it withy fein dust extractor which is pretty amazing. Typically I will wear a full face respirator and gloves when sanding due to concerns related to my eyes and skin if I’m not using the fein unit with my sander. I didn’t need to do either with this. Amazing.

Just received the sander today and put it to use right away. I like the way the sander felt as I used it, not much vibration transmitted into my hands. The dust collector worked better than I thought it would. Seems to be well built, did not get hot after using for over two hours. Nice tool, glad to have it.

I used the jigsaw to cut 1x poplar board for window sills. Enough power, no complaints. Make sure you use the right blade for what you are cutting and you won’t have any problems. 5 star product.

I used to make fun of folks carrying around Bosch power tools when I was working construction jobs; for us, it was always Makita. But after using this sander for several hours every day over the period of a week, I have to reconsider everything.-This sander is comfortable in the hand; I didn’t experience even the smallest bit of fatigue in my hands ever. In fact, my back gave out first after spending hours in the same position.-I was wary of the dust filter; it appears to be pretty hokey, more of an afterthought than an integral part of the tool. Once again, I was wrong. While it is an extremely simple design, it is equally extremely effective! I pulled the box off the unit once an hour, snapped the black top off (the most difficult part of the process… you will need some hand strength) and knocked the two sides out against the inside of the trash can. Snap the top back on and push it back into the unit until it makes a noticeable snap-pop connection, and you’re back in business. The tool comes with an adapter to hook a shop vac hose to this part of the tool in lieu of the filter box, but I have not used that feature; sanding is noisy enough without the screeching of a shop vac to accompany it.-The hook-and-loop sanding pad has been the source of failure for other sanders that I have previously used; typically, over time and when applying pressure against sharp spots of your project, the hooks on the pad begin to warp, melt, and break down until they no longer grip the loops of the sand paper backing. Then, you have a sander that won’t hold on to the sand paper anymore and that renders the tool into a vibrating door stop. I have used this sander to sand not only a large, wide plank, but also to strip and prepare some reclaimed decorative table legs for new finish. There is absolutely ZERO indication of wear on the pad of this tool yet. I find the durability of this part of the tool to be impressive.-This sander comes with a hard case, molded to fit the tool perfectly as well as hold extra pads, manuals, and whatnot. I appreciate a hard case over a soft-sided bag; I only wish this case was compatible with Bosch’s L-Boxx system, so that I could lock it together with the cases of all the other Bosch tools that I will soon be buying. This sander is the best sander I have ever personally used; it is less expensive than many other brands that have not lasted as long or were much less comfortable to use, and the vast majority of other sanders came as a tool-only, without any storage case or bag at all. The quality and value of this tool is unbeaten by any other.

Have only used it once to make some cuts on 1.5″ material and it worked great.

This had the highest reviews among sanders that weren’t priced for professionals and I really like it. It’s not too heavy or bulky for me (a smallish female with small hands) and seemed to work well for the drywall sanding I used it for. Using the ShopVac attachment worked really well. (Had experience with another brand and don’t remember that it worked as well on wood…wouldn’t want to test that one with drywall patch). Also tried it briefly with its dust collector and that seemed to work well.

Gift for my dad. Asked for his review and he said “Give it a 5. It worked good.” I asked: is it comfortable grip? Yes.

It is very hard to open dust box. And, it is more harder to close the dust box. Except that, it is great sander.
Eula Emmerich (verified owner) –
The sander worked great except for the dust collecting attachment. It did didn’t collect at all, the dust bypassed it.

I put it to work right away and had no problems. Worked well and all functions were operational.

Wow. Cuts so smooth it is like a hot knife going though butter, even blows the dust away so I can see exactly where I am and where to continue my cut. This is a dream tool and is so worth the little extra expense over what an inferior jigsaw would cost.
