The Bosch 7-Amp Jig saw features constant response circuitry for precise, consistent performance. The low-vibration design for smooth cutting up to 5-7/8 in. on wood and 3/8 in. on steel. This jig saw offers a variable speed setting of up to 3100 SPM with a 4-position orbital operation for different blade strokes.

Other jig saws I’ve used were heavy, loud, and required strength to guide. The cuts were easy and straight to the line with this saw. I found the anti-chip insert to be very effective on some cheap board that had laminate on it.

These things are AWESOME!!! Every thing I have asked them to do they have done without a hitch, and they are still just as sharp as when they were in the package!!! Of course, that is probably because I haven’t taken them out of the package yet. Home Depot always asks me to rate the stuff I buy before I get a chance to use it. Still, they wanted a rating, so here it is. Seriously, Bosch tends to make good stuff, which is why I bought them. I expect good things from my saw blades.

I bought this saw after trying a cheaper model from a competitor. That saw had a warped show, and was underpowered.Like every other Bosch product I’ve owned, this saw is obviously well thought-out and solidly built. It fits your hand well, the controls are simple and easy to use, and it is obviously high quality.However, I’m giving it only four stars because it lacks integrated dust collection (you have to buy an attachment), and it has no LED light in the front to illuminate the cut line. That said, I’ll take quality over bells and whistles any time.

It was great to have our daughter make the purchase over the internet and be able to come down and pick the item up about a 1/2 hour later. It was kind of the young lady at the Customer Service desk to retrieve the item, rather than having to come back later in the day to pick it up. I needed to be across town in a 1/2 hour and didn’t have time during the day to swing back by to pick it up later.

I debated between this and a cordless Makita since I have the battery kit and two tools I think are great. However I opted for the corded Bosch after reading a lot of reviews and realizing unlike my cordless drill and impact driver I always be using my Jig Saw close to an outlet. Once it arrived I was pleased with the extra long flexible cord and after trying some cuts found this to be an absolutely great tool. Easy to use and smooth. Doesn’t deviate from the line your following. Some people commented that it was difficult to follow the cut line with the anti-tearout insert which I didn’t find difficult at all. It has a line in the attachment to guide you so no problem at all. I would highly recommend this tool.
