This Bosch Router Combination Kit includes a plunge and a fixed-based router that make it a snap to achieve precise adjustments. Both routers feature fast, 2.3 HP, soft-star motors. Variable speed dials let you set the speed you need for the job, and there’s a trigger power switch in the handle. Constant response circuitry maintains consistent speed under load. For quick conversions, both routers have a 2-stage, tool-free, quick-clamp system. Contoured handles provide comfort and control on the job.
- Includes MRF001 fixed-base router, MRP001 plunge-base router, 1/4 in. and 1/2 in. self-releasing collets, bit change wrenches, T-handle hex wrench, 3 M4 screws for table mounting and a carrying case
- 10,000 RPM – 25,000 RPM motors
- Smooth plunge action, spring-lock plunge lever and depth rod for easy plunge routing
- Fixed-base router: 1-5/8 in. continuous, micro-fine, depth adjustment range or use included wrenches for micro fine adjustment through top of optional router table
- Threaded holes make fixed-base router table-mountable

As far as I know, the kit is a very good kit. I wanted a router for table use and a plunge base router. Having to release the motor clamp for all height adjustments made this a mid-order on my part. I returned and bought a lift and a 1617EVS.

It is a great router for both the plunge and the fixed base. The only complaint I’ve got and it’s kind of a big one is that the release to remove the motor out of the fixed is really difficult to unlatch. I’m not a small guy and to open that latch almost requires a screwdriver!! I have not checked the manual to see if there’s an adjustment. guess I should contact Bosch about the problem. It also would have been nice if there was a lock button when changing the bit instead having to maneuver two wrenches. All that said, great router!

Super powerful, great ergonomics, trigger on handle is both convenient and safe. Use it in table and with the plunge base. It’s definitely large, so I’ll be buying the new Colt 1.25 when it comes out.

Had to return original router as the depth adjuster wouldn’t work unless you put a pair of Chanel locks on it. Happy with the new one and really like the soft start feature

I like this router a lot. I have only used th plunge base so far and it is intuitive and smooth. Soft start feature seems to make me a better craftsman, more deliberate and controlled. I have used other routers and cannot imagine going back.

I was hesitant to purchase this based on the numerous reviews complaining of the plunge base not sliding smoothly. I can see where they might have experienced that but I think it’s more the wizard than the wand. It works pretty flawlessly for me and I’m using it to flatten 28” Elm cookies.

I’ve only used it a few times but I’m very pleased with it. The slow start is smooth and it has plenty of power. The linear plunge guide rod seem a little sluggish but it was 20 degrees when I used it. I’m going to spray some silicone one it eventually which should help.
