Good drill. I used it to drill floor joists for pex tubing. More stable and heavier duty than a paddle bit. Less vibration. Also good for enlarging existing holes better than a paddle bit.

First off i return the auger bit without using it thus no rating on the quality.The auger did not fit in my drill machine (too large) and the local home depot did not have any adapter which could help. It looks sturdy though and i’m sure it will do the work better than the one i ended up with https://www.homedepot.com/p/Bosch-Daredevil-Standard-Spade-Bit-Set-6-Piece-DSB5006/203274578which works fine since i don’t need a very precise cut and the wood i’m using is also not that kind of hard.

One inch bits are difficult to find at reasonable cost, but this one is good. VERY aggressive when starting – hold on.

Great drill bit! I was able to drill in tight quarters through a bunch of old 2×10’s like they’re nothing to run a line across a basement from a small sub panel. I’d recommend it in a heartbeat. It’s great for where you can’t fit the 18” drill bits. This picture is only a small fraction of how far I had to go.

Drilled smoothly; pulled itself through the wood, but at an even pace, and easy to stop its pull-through. turns out I need the 13/16″ bit, so I returned this one, but liked it so much, I went out of my way to find a supplier for the same brand and type of bit, just the larger one.

It chewed right through some back to back 2×4’s. This tip digs in and pulls it through. Even when I had a bad angle without much force it drove itself through. I used a slow drill setting. A fast drilling speed may prevent the tip from pulling the bit into the wood.
