This was a great bit to start a pilot hole in a ceramic floor tile . Then I had to change over to a quarter inch Milwaukee diamond hole bit to finish The penetration .

A hired plumber was having trouble drill through hard porcelain tile using 1/4” diamond bits. He went through 3 diamond bits to drill 5 holes. I went to Home Depot and got two carbide tipped bits, one 1/8” and one 1/4”. I drilled ten 1/4” holes with only these two bits.

I had originally gone with Diamond drill bit but returned it because it was useless. Thought id try this one and it worked way better than any others ive tried on ceramic. Granted, it takes about 10-15 per hole to drill, but its faster than the first one I bought. I had a spray bottle with water that I would just hit the hole with every now and then ans let the drill do the work. I’d recommend paying the extra bucks and trying this one out

First time using these bits. I’m not sure how strong they are supposed to be. We went through 3 to install 2 utility racks against my kitchen backsplash. That’s 3 bits for 8 holes. I won’t make my husband do that again, lol.

Did exactly what I wanted it to do, go through ceramic tile for shower rod anchors! Perfect choice!

Worked as expected, drilled through ceramic tile in my bathroom like “butter”…I didn’t even have to drill a small “pilot” hole/depression first like I’ve done before. Made the overall job simpler.

Perfect bit for ceramic tile. I was able to drill 4 holes to mount a knife bar in my kitchen without cracking or breaking a tile. This being my first experience with tile, I was a little apprehensive but it was quite simple with this bit. I give it 4 stars because the cost was pretty high for a single bit, however it certainly did the job.

I was drilling through glass tile for a shower enclosure and needed to drill 6 holes. I bought two just Incase and needed both they didn’t cut as well as other spade bits that I have used in the past but they got the job done, but for the price I should have only needed one.
