This is an excfdellent sander! Better than the Bosch 1/2 sheet sander I have used for almost 20 years!

The anti-vibration technology is a winner. This sander just glides across the surface. The dust collection is exactly what is should be – all the dust is in the dust canister and not everywhere else.

Fantastic sander, on par with a 505 but with a better paper clamping system and dust collection. Highly recommend

Worth the money. A very tough tool. The paper holding mechanism is awesome.

I typically equate Bosch with quality, and with this sander you definitely get what you pay for. At under $400, this tool has some excellent functionality and gets the job done. A few of the pros include the clamping system for the sander sheets. It is able to get a good strong and tight hold on the sheets and keeps them in place. It is also really easy to change them out! The sheets are nice and large, which helps reduce sanding time, but did not seem oversized. If you’ve used other sanders, one of the first things that will stand out to you on this product is the reduced vibration. Out of the box, I used this thing for an extended period of time, and compared to some of the other sanders I’ve used, the fatigue element was drastically reduced. Also, to help between different jobs, there is a nifty variable speed option. Lastly, Bosche gives you the option of using the filter that comes with the product (which I thought was awesome,) or using an included adapter to connect directly into a vacuum to catch all the sanding debris.

Positives: Bosch quality, outstanding paper clamping system, average to above-average dust collection, depending on vacuum used, quality end product. Negatives: This sander requires two hands to operate because of size and weight, vibration control not great, at least on mine. Bottom line, worth the $300 price tag!

Very satisfied with the quality, performance and design of the Bosch orbital sander. Not satisfied with that it was already used. Sand paper used and various scuff marks on the sander.

I needed a easy sander to do finish sanding that was simple to use over big surfaces. This is my first 1/2 sheet sander and it was a joy to use. If you have large surfaces to finish sand, it’s a great tool.

I don’t understand why this isn’t a more widely used sander. It’s fantastic.

I have used this tool on a number of projects, both large and small. It does a great job and it is convenient to be able to use 1/2 sheet at a time.

The sander is easy to use, comfortable to run and easy to reload paper. The knob that comes with it really balances the pressure and the dust clears quite well when using the vacuum attachment.

Used today for the first time. Does a great job. One drawback, the lock for the power button is ridiculous. You really have to push it in far for it to lock, making very difficult to do it with one hand. Flipped that trigger a hundred times today because the lock wouldn’t catch.Looked as though someone had used it before me. The box was totally beaten and worn. There was sanding dust inside the dust collector port. Everything was loose in the box, nothing individually packaged. Looked as though some packaging was missing.

First off, this sander works as advertise and is big, heavy, flat and powerful. I used it on a workbench to level the final top which is made of hard maple and cherry. It did exactly what was expected, albeit I hoped it was a “tad” more aggressive. It did take off product fast with 120 grit but I kind of thought it would be faster. Keep in mind that this might be my expectations of a product I never used. I normally use a palm orbital or a belt sander (if I’m feeling brave). But it is very flat and helped me to keep the top flat as well as the sides without worrying about creating indentations or waves that could easily happen when using a smaller palm orbital sander. And the dust collection is excellent! I use mine with a typical shop vac. Adding the paper is as easy as everyone says so another big plus and it does pull it tight. Is it worth the cost? well….. I still think it’s a little high but I don’t regret purchasing it. God bless!

The sander is a very good sander, does an excellent job of sanding right tight to a corner. Cost effective as to sand paper, takes a bit of time however with the right size hole punch you can pick up almost all of the dust much better than the punch that come with the sander. The system for holding sandpaper to machine works as it says easy to use & does keep sheet tight. Torque! This is not a one hand sander, vibrating is more than they were hoping for when they wrote the advertising however manageable. With aggressive sand paper you could sand a larger board into sawdust without working at it. This is one sander you have to adjust vacuum it will suck it tight to project on high. Very little if any dust. Very happy with overall performance

I hated to use my old 1/2 sheet sander. After using it my hand would be tingling for hours. The Bosch vibration control suspension system is lower in vibration to your hands. I used it over an hour and had no tingling in my hands. The comfort grips really helps the hands. I was amazed on the dust collection system, it left hardly no dust on my project. It all collected in the dust canister system even the super fines dust. I always had problem with my old sander keeping the sand paper tight. The Bosch easy to use clamping system was easy to put on the 1/2 sheet sand paper and held the sand paper tight during the whole time sanding. I come with on 1/2 sheet 120 grid paper. It came with punch plate if you don’t have the correct paper with the holes. All you do is attach the sandpaper on the sander and put the sander on the punch plate and you have the holes in the correct place. It was easy. I think Bosch really did some great research what the consumer was looking for need and put it in the great sander. Thanks Bosch for a great design!
