These last as long or longer than most of the other brands of planer blades I’ve used so far. I like that they are made in Germany. The blade which came with my Bosch planer was made in Luxembourg if my memory serves me correctly and of course great quality. I have used these in hardwood with nails and they did chip but not as quickly or as badly as other brands of blades with which I’ve given the same abuse. Each blade is really two blades since they are designed to be flipped and installed with either edge oriented in the cutting position.

These were excellent replacement blades for some factory blades that dulled on each side after 2 hrs of planning some maple. These have already outperformed those on just one side. Easy to install and sharp.
