Great plane for doors. But, use a wood vise and scrap wood for ends to prevent blow out.

As usual, Bosch is a quality tool. Replacement blades are also affordable and the blades are reversible.

I purchased this planer to replace my Bosch model 3296 which served me well. About 20 years. I’m a general contractor that does mostly inter finish work. One of the things I miss the most is the adjustable bevel fence. I was able to cut a wood block at the angle I needed to mount on the fence to bevel doors that I was working on. My old planer had dual carbide this one is single. It did a good job though. My old one also had the ability to blow the dust in either directions. The dust bag on the new one does do a good job. In closing I am happy with this planer. Bring back the bevel fence though.

Had to hang some screen door’s, needed to do some slight trimming to them. I bought the Bosch planner. It made short work trimming the doors. Ran smooth and had great power. Great tool for odd jobs. I have always been a Milwaukee guy, but now I’ll take another look at Bosch.

I bought this planer to plane the edges of 2 x 8’s for a table top glue up. I used biscuts to join the pieces and things went very well. The table joints are still holding up very well after six months or so. My son-in-law borrowed it to joint the bottom edge of a door after he had a new floor installed. He was also very happy with the results he had. Overall, I would recommend this planer to a friend.

Hi all. I recently purchased a Refurbished unit from an online retailer. What I got looked almost New. Came with all accessories. Except the 2.5mm Allen. Not a big deal. Have used it a few times. Works Great!!! My only issue is, I purchased the Dust Collection (Shop Vac) Adapter. It fits the Dust Port. Not as tight as I would like it. Shop Vac hose could pull it off. Maybe I can put a Hose Clamp on it?? Or a piece of tape to tighten it.

I got this for Christmas. Used it to trim the bottom of a door. It cut cleanly and easily. My son used it to smooth the face of a rough cut oak board. It took it down quickly without any problem.
