I got this to help me trim a the ends of a 6×6 to 6×4. It worked very nicely. The cutting action was smooth.I also used the little bag collector it came with and to my surprise, that worked very nicely as well.

bought as a gift to hubby; hubby happy, so all’s well. Arrived promptly. I took out a star because it came with the original box (the whole world knows what’s inside the box), good thing my son got to it first or the surprise for my husband would have been ruined. I understand you are doing your part for the environment by minimizing packaging, but at least you could have wrapped it with some reused paper or some kind of non-plastic, it would also not piqued interest to porch pirates.

I was given this planner on Christmas Day and registered it yesterday. Bosch sent me an email asking me to review it…so. I haven’t used it yet, but it looks great!

This tool does everything it’s advertised to do. It was easy to set up and performed flawlessly the first time. Even the dust bag exceeds my expectations, leaving no chips or dust in the work area. The right tool makes all the difference.

The planer performed as expected. I mostly use a planer when I install door and window sashes and purchased this unit because of the 3 degree shim that attaches to the fence. Not many models available that have this feature. Overall, the unit performed very well and easy to use, handles well when working on sashes and frames.I would recommend this product.

This electric planer worked great for the job I was doing. I especially like the following things about this planer—1. The control knob for the depth of the cut. 2. The ability to catch the shavings from either side of the unit in the bag which is included. 3. It is light enough to plane vertically (up or down). 4. Is well balanced (not too heavy). 5. I do not know the type of steel used for the cutting blade but it is tuft as I hit a finishing nail & I thought I may have chipped the blade. To my surprise, I did NOT see any damage to the blade. However, I did buy extra blades as I do not know how long the blade will remain sharp. Overall it is a great tool especially with the case (which is an added cost).

Well build tool, used to shave couple of doors. Double carbide blade system works perfectly, leaves nice and smooth surface. Hard carrying case, another great thing, makes it easy to store and protect the planer.Great choice so far.

Did several doors and cabinets with ease. The door attachment with it’s dual fastening bolts worked like a charm. Nice sturdy guide. Great product with a nice hard case and it’s quieter than other planers.

I bought this to square up a 12′ long 9×12″ black walnut beam that I used for a fireplace mantle. It worked great, and could take off material in thick passes without bogging down. Adjustments are simple and I like the long cord. My only complaint is that the chip/dust ports tended to clog up under heavy use but it was easy to clean out and continue work.

I used it to plane some pine logs I split in half to use for firecircle benches. Worked very well.

I am pleased, overall with this tool. It is quiet and powerful. The only issue I see so far is if you have the depth setting at 3/32 or deeper when used with Mahogany, the tool gets clogged inside with debris. It did this repeatedly. It would probably be ok if you hook a vacuum to the tool for the larger depth cuts, although I have not tested this theory.

This is my second purchase. Bought this one to keep as a reserve in case anything happens to the first one. I have rough plained nearl 100 logs and it’s still going strong. Haven’t even replaced or sharpened the blades. Living up to the Bosch name. It needs 10 stars.

I bought a PL2632K. I was impressed with the accessories and case. As soon as I opened the case I began to inspect the planer for imperfection and accuracy. The front adjustable sole had small pitting all over, don’t think would affect performance but still not great. The major complaint is that when the planer is set to 0 one side is below the sole while the other side is at least a 1/32″ past the sole. It will never cut true and the manual says there is no way to adjust. I will be contacting Bosch to see if I should send it to the supplier or Bosch. It really is a good planer but I would definitely inspect it before using it.

I have only used the planer for one door edge so far, and it was smooth going and accurate even for a novice like me.
