The purchase and delivery process was flawless. Five stars for service. The planer works well and adjustments are precise. I rated the machine a 4 due to the fact the reversible dust collection lever broke after very little use. It’s more of a nuisance and I’ll work on getting it covered by warranty

I bought this to square up some cambered wall studs. It has plenty of power to cut through hard, 100 year old, oak boards. The only problem I had was the chip collection system will clog with taking heavy cuts in softer wood like pine. It’s easy to clear, and continue on. I have started using this in lieu of my jack plane. The work piece only requires a little touch up with a smoother and all is well.

I have owned for several months and has worked fine. I have since purchased a Bosch hammer drill and 10″ table saw with great results.

I got this tool through AirMiles, as I had only an old Black and Decker Power Planer that always seemed to cut at an angle (bought 2nd hand). So I was really drooling over this new acquisition. However, and I’ve only tried it out once so far, on some 1X3 board (on 1″ side), using the guide in place, and I found that the bottom of the planer seemed to stick, and bump, rather than glide over the board, and I couldn’t make an even smooth flat edge on that board. I will try waxing the bottom of the planar to see if it helps. Also, the bottom has some obviously “machined” spots on the shoe (front and back). I assume that this is from the (featured) process of machining the bottom after the planer is assembled – but it almost looks like a mistake, and I find that the bottom did not glide smoothly for me. I will try again sometime, but I was a bit disappointed. Any suggestions? It’s too early for me to say if I can recommend this product to a friend or not..

This is a great planer overall but I noticed when making wide passes in plywood using the full width of the blade the dust exhaust ports would get clogged up after a few seconds. I then have to unplug the planer and remove the wood chips manually with needle nose pliers. I think Bosch should redesign the exhaust ports. They are too narrow and cause the wood chips to clog up.

I bought the planer back in August and just got around to using yesterday. I used it on three new solid wood doors. It cut clean and was easy to control. I was amazed. The attachment for catching the chips was fantastic and being able to switch sides when you cut was great!

I have been using this planer for a couple of months. Performance and cutting precision are terrific. Dust pickup is amazingly good. Suggestion: add a second guide fence that is adjustable. Inverting and clamping the planer in place would produce a field joiner.

So far this thing has done what I wanted. It has more power then I expected. Great too would recommend.

Working very well so far, only use it a little. But it works great. The discharge shoot clougs up while using the bag fairly often.

I bought the PL2632K Planer to use building some furniture out of some rough quarter-sawn white oak. It seems to work well and have plenty of power but I am very disappointed with the hardness of the aluminum shoe. After just a few passes on clean wood (no staples, nails, etc.) the shoe is very scratched and etched. I do not know how this will effect operations in the future but I would have thought the shoe would have been much harder.

Very precise settings. The guide is really helpful. Appears to be well built.

The Bosch PL2632K Planer is my second of this type. The first from another manufacturer served me well for years, until an accident brought it to an untimely end. My point here being that I am familiar this type tool an how to use it.The PL2632K is a well-made product & very good buy very good buy and one which I heartily recommend. There are however, a couple design flaws that you need to be aware of:1. The Dual-Mount Guide Fence is NOT at a right angle to the foot. The metal Guide Fence is in fact it in fact itself bent do it a 3-degree offset, such that using the (gray) 3-degree overshoe actually places the Guide Fence’s face perpendicular to the foot and use of the (black) Straight Overshoe Places the Guide Fence at a 3-degree offset. Exactly the opposite of what’s expected. It is possible that the metal, Dual-Mount Guide Fence I received is a 3-degree anomaly, but as long as you know it. The fence still functions as it should as long as you check which overshoe makes it perpendicular to the foot.2. This one is not a problem with the planer, but an oversight in design of the case: It is not possible to assemble the mounting brackets to the Guide Fence and store it in the case. A slight modification of the case design would have allowed this. As it is, you must dissemble the Guide Fence after every use to get it back in the case. This makes it prone to losing the carriage-bolt, washer, or thumb-nut, as they are easily dropped. On a construction site this is likely to make them disappear forever! Neither of these materially affects the function of the planer. They are just minor annoyances that you need to be aware of.If it were not for #1 above, I would have given the PL2632K a 5-Star rating.

I didn’t think I would ever need one, now I can’t be without it. I usually use a hand plane, but as I get older I need the extra help on bigger project. Did a Great job.

This tool is a typical Bosch product; well made and designed with the user in mind. Instruction manual is unusuay thorough and easy to follow and understand.

Nice tool but the adjustable guide and mounting brackets are not very accurate (90 degree bend angle is off). I will need to adjust myself to get it set correct.
