I think what I like best about this router is how smooth it is when plunging and the ergonomically designed location of the thumb release lever. After using it a few times it became so natural to plunge with it. The unit is well made and stands up to being dropped in my shop. I use this on my Colt palm router and the two together have almost replaced the usage of my larger router…..I just have to slow down….but this is so much more enjoyable to use!

The unit worrks well, but it should packaged with with a base that accepts the standard guides.

What can you say..,. Hmm it’s a plunge base that’s got all the needed adjustability one could want and it’s made by Bosch. Doesn’t get better than that

My PR20EVS Router has been my go-to router for small and medium size projects since I got it a couple of years ago but it lacked a key functionality that most of my other routers have. I could not do plunge cuts. I needed to make some plunge cuts on a recent project where working room was scarce. I needed my smallest router so I bought the PR011 Plunge Base and it worked nearly flawlessly. I say nearly because my only knock on the tool was a jerky plunge operation. A couple of drops of Corrosion X on the guide rods cured this problem and my project was completed very nicely.

This plunge base is a quality product, and made very well. However, if you are considering buying, be aware of a couple issues:1. Be sure not to force router body into base the first time. It may get jammed irreversibly. Mine needed some light sanding w/ a fine abrasive and lubricated in order for the body to slide in w/o binding.2. The spindle lock button is covered and not accessible with this base. Yes, you cannot use it. A thin 10mm wrench is needed to lock the spindle. Hard to believe this oversight from Bosch.

Haven’t used it yet but it looks as if it will be just fine.

I have only used this a few times. It makes depth adjustments easy and accurate. Without this base depth adjustments are very difficult to make accurately. In my opinion, a poor design found on the Colt trim router.

Very easy to use with my Bosch palm router. Looking forward to buying a 1617 to use with my Christmas gift, the Bosch router table.

It works great and is easy to use. I dose the job of my larger tools without the weight. Very sturdy and well built. Its all about making work easier and the project better built.

I can’t easily remove bits because a plate blocks the switch which locks the nut in place to allow the wrench to be applied. The tolerances on the casing are extremely tight and it’s very difficult to put the motor in and remove it.

This was a no brainer, when time to use, excellent plunge router base

I make small decorative boxes. I bought the plunge base to do freehand string inlay and mortise for small hinges. Works great… Standard router is just too big.

I do woodworking as a hobby and the plunge base makes my Bosch PR20EVSK Colt Router much more versatile. For quick plunge routing I now grab my Colt because its quicker to set up and lighter to use than my larger Porter Cable router. The plunge base works very smoothly, the way the Colt Router fits into it, makes the power switch very easy to reach. The spring in the base has perfect tension for the light weight router. The rubberized grips on the side fit comfortably in my hands. All in all the base makes a great router even better.

Excellent purchase. The lift rails are a little stiff, but with use should ease up.Recommend as a great addition to the Colt router for those time the big one is just too cumbersome.

It fit my colt router perfectly. Eat to adjust and use.
