A lot better than what I had

Have not used it yet but soft start and size were my deciding factors

Great router. Hind sight I would have bought the varible speed version for my needs. That is my fault, not the routers.

Used this router with an end mill bit to mill 7075 aluminum, worked prefect, plenty of power, easy to guide.

This has to be one of the most versital router I own. Edges, cuts, trims and engraves with no problems. Use this little guy a lot more than my bigger one.

We are using the Bosch Colt 1 HP routers in our shop. We currently have 8 on the floor at this time. Our main use is trimming laminate on table/desk tops, panels, trimming and shaping 2 and 3mm edging on custom shape tops and some 1/8 in. to 3/8 in. round over on plywood tablet arms and solid wood rim cores. We have been using the Colt for over 2 years and have had only 2 failures in that time. We use the single speed routers and our failures have been with the soft-start electronics. One thing to be aware of, is the quick-clamp lever. There is a nut on the lever that will need to be tightened a little bit to keep your bit depth from slipping and changing. We are happy with the service we are getting with these routers as they are used daily. We switched to the Bosch as the line of trim routers we were using had a fairly high failure rate with several only lasting 3 to 6 months with the soft-start electronics being the culprit. I do have a Colt in my home shop and it works great. Just finished building a deck and used it to round-over all of the deck parts.

Works great, love the fit in my hand, easily adjusts, adapts to several different sizes of bits, would have been nice if came with a bag or case to carry with me on jobs, l think pretty much every tool should come with one, but besides that the extra amp it packs is great for drawer fronts and your cabinet doors, it was a good purchase

It work OK but I wish I’d got the model with the adjustable speed. The fine adjustment on the router bit depth doesn’t work, but then I started using it before reading the instructions.

Reasonably good router. Problems maintaining bit depth. Required constant depth adjustment even through screw adjustments.

It is a Bosch which has a great rep. The price was just what I was looking for in a Palm Router which I only use now and then.

Just used this handy little router on the gunwales of a wooden boat. I was able to freehand two different radius curves on a 3/4 x 1 1/4″ edge, something that would be tough to do with a larger router and time consuming by hand. It paid for itself in one job. In my applications, a variable speed on this small router is not necessary, but the soft start is really appreciated.

Hi, I am a DIY homeowner and own/work with 3 routers – light, mid and heavy – on a regular base. I have been using this router for a few years now and it is always a pleasure to work with it. I love the combination of weight, size and ease of use, and it gives me impeccable results. I pick it up more often than my mi-size router for hand-held jobs. The price is right too.

My first router, and it was easy enough to use. I would probably get some sort of guard or spacer to help with keeping the line straight. Free hand routing has proven difficult to keep a straight line

Lots of reviews complain around collet issues but Bosch is quick to fix any problems. Customer support is top notch. This 1HP variable speed Palm router accepts 1/4″ shank bits and really gets the job done! Used for shelving, joinery and molding this is a great tool at a great price!!!

I have been using my Bosch Colt for almost a year now in my cnc. It has preforms superbly with no loss of power. Great tool!!

This product met all my needs. The only disappointing feature vs. the variable speed palm router was that they removed the comfortable rubber grip.
