It’s a reliable and we’ll made product. I’m fairly new to routering so my opinion is based on ease of use for a beginner. The tightening system requires two wrenches (that are supplied) it just seems outdated. It’s kind of clunky and not very easy to do. You’d think in this day and age they would have just made it simpler. There’s probably not that much competition out there. It’s also very loud I’m a DIY guy & I have neighbors close by in my HOA, and it is a bit loud but then again most of my tools are also loud. That’s the negative. The positive is it’s a strong reliable and we’ll made machine. I’m a beginner to this tool but I decided to buy this combo set because I knew I’d use it again and again and I’m glad I bought this one. I contemplated just getting a fixed router for much cheaper but I knew eventually I would probably use a plunge router. Comes with a the nice carry case and a guide fence which I haven’t used yet. You’ll need to buy your own bits this one comes with a half inch and 1/4-in collet which is nice. If your a DIY beginner having a router definitely adds a tint of professionalism to your work. They’re quite a lot of YouTube videos out there so you shouldn’t have any problems using it.

Powerful and fairly easy to use for a complete beginner. depth adjustment dial is straight forward and effective, just need to remember to catch the play before securing. Switching from 1/4″ to 1/2″ tools not a problem

Good quality router. It is good that it comes in a storage case.

It’s a Bosch. As expected it works wonderfully. The WOW factor – it is super quiet for a router. Using a freud 1/2 inch roundover bit I had to visually check to ensure I was actually cutting into the wood at times. Not super crazy about the wooden handles on the base but I put one hand on the router itself when cutting to stabilize (preference) so didn’t have an issue.Love it. I was also considering the milwaukee body grip. Perfectly happy with this Bosch and for $100 less. More than I really need for my garage hobbyist level wood working.

Very heavy duty, plenty of power, the plunger attachment is invaluable. There are a couple of minor “could be better” points: (1) the plunger isn’t smooth, it sticks and needs a fair amount of pressure sometimes to push down; (2) it is a bit bulky for hand use compared to smaller units but that is why I also have a 1 HP cheap one.

Absolutely the best in its class. Accessory pack is the best solution for all-around router applications. Terrific product.

Router worked a treat. Very smooth. Took awhile to assemble the table- but it you can handle a router, I’m sure you can handle a few screws.

It can do everything that I need it to. Worked very well on my first project. Happy with purchase so far. *I’m not a professional.

The router looks good, but so far I haven’t used it. Looking forward to work with it.

Don’t get me wrong, love the router and will likely come to appreciate the table – in time.Table assembly took longer than it should have, kind of like putting together a BBQ. Screws, nuts, etc, in three unlabeled bags, some screws attached to nuts, others not. Separate, labelled bags would have cut assembly time in half. Instructions were clear, though. No difficulty leveling plate. The aluminum deck plate is quite rough to touch, as though unfinished. Got a good deal $319 for table, fixed and plunge bases, router, and hardcase, so really cannot complain too much!

This router set is well worth the money, high quality and much better than others in the same horsepower and price range that I’ve used. The soft start may not be quite the softest, but after pretty extensive use building guitar bodies with this thing it consistently performs well. The plunge base depth adjustments are accurate and easy to use, as well as the ones on the fixed base. I personally highly recommend it.
