Nice accessory for my Bosch router. This is an essential tool needed to center your router bits when using template guides. Yes, I would recommend this accessory if doing any sort of template routing!

This jig is very simple but does the job of centering my clear router base to the router as it’s in handle assembly. You can pull out the shaft from the cone and insert it in either direction depending on what size collet you have. All my bits are 1/4 so I setup the jig that way. It did the trick. Just wish it had been included in the router package. There’s actually a spot for it in the big plastic router storage box.

Works just as advertised.I read about the issues some had inserting the centering pin, but I don’t find it a problem.When inserting the pin, from the bottom, it stops when it reaches a point approximately 1/8″ short of going all the way thru (to make it look like the picture). If you press hard it will go past that point and it becomes a very tight fit, just like you would want. But I don’t think you have to force it, it works just fine stopping at that point.
