The RA1165 under-table base is based on the durable Bosch fixed base, but enhanced with an above-table bit height adjustment mechanism. The RA1165 under-table base can be mounted to virtually any table surface and common router table plates. Its wide 3-3/4 in. base opening allows the use of larger bits.
- Base has threaded holes for mounting to router table positioned in Bosch 4-hole pattern and common 3-hole pattern; hardware included
- Motor housing does not rotate during depth adjustment, eliminating potential cause of horizontal movement of bit
- Tool-free base change quick clamp system allows motor to be moved with ease
- Two additional protective devices prevent motor from falling to floor after quick-clamp is released

The base for the 1617 router easily mounted under the Bosch router table. Inserting the router into the base and making height adjustments was a bit of a challenge because the various moving parts did not slide easily. A bit of light oil was needed to ease the insertion of the router and make the adjusters move more smoothly.

I have to say this has made my life quite a bit easier. Adjusting bit height from the top of the table is awesome. At the price point, it is amazing that other companies have not done this for their customers. Lift systems are crazy expensive and this tool proves that they don’t have to be. Kudos to Bosch.

This router base attachment will allow the user to make the final adjustments from the top of the table when installed. By using this base for the table you have the Bosch original base to use your router free from the table without installing and adjusting your table every time you want to use each system.

There are a number of mounting options on the base. So it should fit a wide range of premade router tables. My commercial table was not made to exacting standards, so it took a bit of tweaking to make it fit just so. The good news is that you leave the base attached. The router pops in and locks in place in seconds. Like all Bosch equipment, this just excellent.

I purchased this router lift to replace the fixed router base that came with my Bosch router. Mounting this new device was very easy and inserting the router motor into the table no longer requires tools and is quick. Saves a lot of time. Router bit height is adjustable above the table.

Super simple to set up and yielded increased accuracy. I had to drill a new hole in my table base plate to access the adjuster, but that was a simple task. I wish I had purchased this sooner.

This unit installed in the Bosch table allows you to adjust the height of the bit with a turn of the hex wrench.. wish I had this years ago.you don’t have to remove the router or fumble with locking collars.

I purchased this Table Base for the RA1181 Router Table, accompanying the 1617EVSPK Router. I can’t imagine having to disassemble the table every time I would need the fixed base for the 1617. This extra base will pay for itself in time saved very quickly indeed! It’s also nice that I have two hex key wrenches: one in the Table storage bin, and one to keep in the case as backup. It’s also very nice not having base handles in the way under the Table. This is definitely worth including with the package, and not overly priced.

What a life saver! I love this lift when it works. There is a washer on the lift between the bolt where the key is used to turn the lift and the manual adjust that keeps popping off and when it does the lift won’t work unless reset. I am actually on here today to get a replacement for that as it has already worn out and we have just received and been using this the past 3 weeks. I think a fitted tension ring would have been a better design for this area as the washer (though marginally functional) does not support the opposing forces applied in raising and lowering the lift frequently. Aside from this minor issue that is easily corrected I love this lift!

I bought an extra base so that I could easily change from router table to straight router. It lets me do exactly that.I leave one base on the router table all the time and have another to slide the motor into when I want a regular router. One step, no tool change over.
