Description
The Bosch RA1166 plunge base is designed for use with Bosch router models 1617 and 1618 series. This base allows a plunging depth of 2-5/16 in. and features plunge release lever that is conveniently located to allow maximum control. A wide 3-5/16 in. base opening and 2 in. sub base opening accepts larger bits and provides better visibility.

Like the router, this base is a good value. I like the smooth plunge action and simple settings. After years of using Craftsman routers I am glad I got started with the Bosch 1617 series. It has plenty of power without bulk or balk. Another benefit is that this router and its bases are compatible with other accessories like guide bushings and both .25 and .5 inch collets.
