Needed to drill through a 6″ concrete wall to fastening 4″x8″ fence posts with 1/2″x10″ hex cap screws. The Bosch Rotary Hammer made short work of the project! Very easy hammer drilling. Also, use the chiseling feature on old concrete fence post base to make room for an adjacent post and new concrete. Over all excellent rating for this product. Well worth the money.

Perfect tool for light to medium jobs. Really does the Job. I will highly recommend this tool for those guys who does a lot of tile work and demo projects even in a minor concrete.

I used this to break up my basement concrete for new plumbing rough-ins. The unit works as advertised and was able to run hours at a time with no issues. So much easier to use and versatile compared to a general purpose jack-hammer.

I’ve used this tool on two of my a/c installs so far and it performed very well; I is lite weight and easy to handle! Evon a high ladder it will do the job of the heavier models;

This is one of the best tools I have ever gotten. And I am not exaggerating one bit. Irecently completely a project where I put down a sand based patio in my backyardwhich is fenced in. In order to put down the track for the pavers to sit in, I had to get ridof concrete that my fence posts were planted in for stability. I took out this hammer drill,bought a SDS chisel bit, and went to work. First off, the hammer drill comes in its owncarrying case which is really nice and convenient. Setup and usability was a breeze. Iread through the instructions but basically just inserted the SDS bit in directly, hooked itup to power, and started going through each setting to get a feel for it. It has multiplesettings of operation, from drilling alone, hammering alone, and drilling and hammeringtogether. It also has rotation feature to get the chisel in the correct axis for you. And ithas a forward and reverse spinning gear to switch over to. This hammer drill wentthrough the concrete posts like it was nothing. It literally just pummeled the concrete intopieces. It was almost effortless. It was so effective that I drilled out extra concrete justfor fun. Nothing slowed the hammer drill down – it was fantastic. The tool isn’t overlyheavy and feels like it is built to last. It’s not too noisy and is plenty powerful. Sopowerful in fact that I actually got the bit stuck when I went too deep into one of theconcrete blocks. This was not the tool’s fault – it was my own user error since I chiseledin too deep and actually got it lodged in the wood base of my fence. The special vibration handle dampens a lot of the harsh vibration so you can continue to use the tool for awhile. It does require aSDS bit, but if you feel the need you can buy a 3 jaw chuck for it so it can be a littlemore versatile. Again, what a great tool. The true testament to this tool is that my father,who isn’t usually a fan of “fancy” new technological tools, absolutely loved it. Hecontinued to praise it and said it was the most impressive tool we bought for the entirepatio project (and we bought many, many good tools). Well done, Bosch.

I couldn’t resist to say thank you to BOSCH engineering department for designing such a great and perfect tool.As an electrician with more than 12 years of experience, I have used different kinds of rotary hammers and hammer drills to make holes in concrete as a part of my job. After working with this rotary hammer approximately for two years now, my comment is: This is the best rotary hammer that you can buy (of course, in its class). It has exceeded my expectations. When I say “in its class”, I mean you should consider its capacity as an SDS Plus rotary hammer. You cannot compare it with an SDS MAX rotary hammer.I am extremely satisfied with this rotary hammer for having the following features:1) It is powerful enough to make holes in concrete very easily in its capacity. 2) The RPM and BPM have been designed very wisely. So, you can make holes in concrete very easily. They have been designed just right. If these two parameters were too high or too low, you couldn’t make holes in concrete with that ease. 3) The vibration control is awesome. You feel very little stress or pressure on your hands. You can work a whole day without hurting your hands.4) The integral clutch mechanism works perfectly. When the bit gets stuck for any reason, this mechanism stops the bit from rotating and saves your wrist and tool. 5) The tool is light, so you can use it for a whole day with ease.6) The tool has been designed as compact as possible, so you can use it in tighter places.7) You can rotate and tighten its handle to any angle you want very easily. It can be removed from the rotary hammer very easily as well, if you want. 8) The depth gauge enables you not to go more than your desired depth

I once thought a hammer drill was a hammer drill, till I tried to drill through my 11inch thick foundation. You definately need a rotary drill for this application. 35minutes with a noral hammer drill turned into under a minute with this one. Like the hilti i used to use at work, but not the size a jackhammer. Solid product that has exceeded my expectations, for a great price for what you get.

chewed through 8″ of concrete. Don’t know anything else that would have done it. Without getting gigantic that is. I wasn’t even expecting a hard case for the Roto Hammer so bonus. Also the case has room for all my concrete bits. Maybe I can fit a small extension cord too.

The drill was just what I needed. I don’t use one everyday so this smaller one was good for me.

this is the second unit I have purchased. The tool is well balanced and easy to use. A little under powered for some jobs but good for most small projects.

My first rotary hammer drill, love the SDS bits. Drill through the concrete like noting using the bulldog bits.Have a hammer drill and this thing douses circles around it. Wish I bought this sooner!

I used the tool mainly to remove a stone wall around my fireplace. I used the hammer drill and drove in wedges to break up the concrete as well as just the hammer. It work well in the lighter wall but in the thicker base it took more time.

I bought this a year ago and I like some of the features. It’s light weight and short and compact but it only spins to 900 rpms max. I tried coring a 3” hole w it and it burnt it out. It hit hard but doesn’t spin fast.

Works very smooth and silent even during concrete drilling. Ideal for home projects.
