With best-in-class impact energy at 6.1 foot pounds, the RH540M SDS-max Rotary Hammer is the hardest hitting and fastest drilling rotary hammer in its class. Delivering 38 percent more impact energy than previous generations and up to 20 percent more than competitors, the RH540M provides maximum productivity in all day drilling and chiseling applications. A variable speed dial for both drilling and chiseling applications allows users to adjust tool settings based on the application and material they’re tackling and a selector knob makes it easy to switch between hammer drilling, chiseling only and the Varo-Lock function. The Varo-Lock mechanism allows chisels to be rotated into 12 different positions to optimize working angles. The tools’ new, robust design keeps it working hard on jobsites. The RH540 tools both feature 12 amps and weigh just 14.2 pounds, delivering 1,200 to 2,750 blows per minute. Service minder brushes on the tools also keep them running at maximum capacity, as the tools clearly indicate when preventive maintenance is required. As with all Bosch SDS-max tools, the RH540M allows users to make tool-free bit changes with automatic bit locking and offers enhanced dust protection and maximum energy transfer rate.

I will say out of the 3 rotary hammer drills I have i love this bosch its the one i seem to grab everytime it’s not heavy at all its well balanced and has great torque and power it’s extremely well built the other two i own in which i will be giving away is a hilti do not get wrong it is nice it works well and is of good quality and the other is a makita but the bosch feels better the power the way it handles on the job i do alot of demo and again i love it wish i could afford a bigger bosch right now just to have if your looking for one dont look any further

I have been looking at several new Rotary Hammers for replacing the older ones. I was on a job that the other crews were using Bosch Tools. I tried a couple that was on site and was immediately impressed by the weight, power and variable speed. I could not find a RH540m in any of my suppliers. So after searching HD.com, It finally arrived. I had no idea how big it was compared to what I tried in the field.The next day it was on the job and it’s amazing how powerful and speed of the drilling was. actually the $129 masonry bit was defective or missing set screw. so I wasn’t able to use this for the whole job. disappointed I spent near $600 for a job which at this time was useless .
