The Bosch 1-7/8 in. SDS-MAX Rotary Hammer provides superior performance with 12 ft./lbs. of impact energy for heavy-duty concrete removal and maximum productivity in drilling and chiseling applications. Featuring a variable speed dial for accurate bit starting and controlled chiseling, Constant Response circuitry provides soft-start and maintains constant speed under load, while providing overload protection. Comfortable to use with active vibration control in the hammer and in the main handle, this demolition tool is durably made to handle daily wear and tear on the jobsite.
- 12 ft./lbs. of impact energy for all-day demolition work
- SDS-max bit system for tool-free bit changes with automatic bit locking, dust protection and maximum energy transfer rate
- Tuned mass damper anti-vibration system for active vibration control and comfortable use
- Vario-lock positioning rotates and locks chisel into 12-positions to optimize working angle
- Selector knob for selecting hammer drilling, chiseling only and the vario-lock function
- Constant response circuitry for soft-start, constant speed under load and overload protection
- Integral clutch disengages torque transmission should the bit get into a bind situation

We have three of these hammers in use and they get put through paces every day. These hammers take a beating with very little down time or repair. Definitely worth the money.

This drill makes holes in concrete like butter ( just make sure you hold it straight, and don’t hit any re-bar!). I put 15 holes through 8 inches of concrete in a matter of minutes, just make sure you tighten the auxiliary handle well or the tool will spin on you! Comes with a large case that holes extra drills, and a really long cord (~ 10 ft.). The variable speed is handy as well as the hammer only mode ( I would also like a drill only mode as well a a reversing switch). Fine tool although the cardboard shipping box could be more robust and some foam inside the case to keep the tool from sliding around during transport.

It amazes me this drill only runs on 120 volt and not once did it trip the breaker. I went through about two tons of rock, drilling, expanding, and jack hammering out the pieces. Next time I would probably try a Hilti drill bits and chisels. They cost double but I went through three 1.5″ SDS Max drill bits, all of them had broken off half of the tip. I’m on my fourth. One of the flat chisels broke in half as well. If you’re drilling into concrete the cheaper bits should be just fine if you don’t hit rebar. All in all this drill is amazing and worth every penny.

I use this primarily for light demo on concrete. This tool works well for chipping and removal of concrete around stub ups. It is light enough where it won’t wear you out after 10 minutes of hammering. Good tool at a great price.

Great tool , use this almost every day for a few hours. i did have a issue with the fan making contact with the baffle and it melted together and seized the tool. took it in for warranty. a few days later got it back and it has not failed since. and that dates back almost 2 years. Very happy customer.!

Used a 6″ core bit and a 3″ and they worked well! powerful little machine. also perforated a large crawl space access with a 1″ bit and chisel bit together. That one took a while, but it got the job done. Glad to have this tool in the arsenal.

I just used my Bosch 850 hammer drill for the first time taking out 16 SF of concrete to lower a shower floor. It helped do the job performing much better than I could imagine. I love this hammer drill.

This is the only rotary hammer I have owned and used extensively so cannot compare. But as is it is fantastic. Before buying I read, viewed, scraped the web – all I could find and learned about the features, and settled on Makita until funding this one, obviously an answer to Makita, but a $100 cheaper. For a homeowner it was a no brainier. It is so smooth, so easy to change bits, so powerful, a delight to use!!! Used for both drilling and chipping. Comes with a front handle, the carrying case has plenty of room for bits, the cord and small odds and ends.Superb, Love it!

This drill is replacing a Bosch11240 that has drilled a lot of anchor holes over the last 9 years so when it came to getting another drill it was going to be a Bosch. We gave the new one the workout this weekend anchoring down tracks and this drill did not dissapoint and is much more comfortible to use, nice tool.
