This is my first orbital sander and I think it’s a very good tool. When I go from 50 to 120 to 220 it leaves a glass finish. I do woodworking as a hobby in my spare time and this sander has cut down the time on cleaning up ash wood, which for some reason likes to chip alot in the planer. And another big plus is it really isn’t that expensive.

I hate sanding but this little tool makes sanding painless. the dust collection actually very good but got to empty the container pretty frequent. it has a soft start and smooth operation. definitely must have if you are doing any type of wood working projects.

I have a variable speed sander not single speed, which is why I bought it. on the spec sheet at store it shows 7,500 -12,000 which must be a misprint because the low speed is much lower, which is good for end grain. I haven’t used it for extended times, but it is much like my larger, older Bosch I love, but a true palm sander which I wanted . Like the on/off switch location. Good dust removal. The dust canister lid could be better for ease of opening. Haven’t put the shop vac on it, yet. I think this will be my go to sander.

I have been a big believer in Bosch sanders for many years. I still use my PEX115 but it’s getting harder to find 4 1/2 inch discs. The new machine does everything I want, particularly the hook-up to the shop vac.Sanding drywall compound is a hateful mess (I am frequently reminded by she-who-must-be obeyed) but this does everything I hoped for ! I hope to enjoy this sander as much as my vintage PEX115 !

Purchased this last weekend to replace an old worn out sander. The old one was never as quiet and vibration free as this unit. Sanding disks stick extremely well and seem to last longer since they stay on the sander better too.

I have a wood shop and use this sander all day every day, and it has proved very durable. The only flaw on this unit is the dust collector. It uses a hard shell “bag” with a filter in it. Its very hard to empty, and after taking it on and off many times to be emptied, it got lose and eventually would just fall off. A simple screw on bag would work better. Also, it’s a little under powered, so don’t buy if your going to use for stripping.

I got this for Xmas last year. I had seen the review in Handyman and asked for it as a gift. I just recently started sanding my deck with it and compared to the one I borrowed from my mom last year this is so much easier to use. Pads are super easy to change and you can grip it in more than one way. The dust collector takes a long time to fill, although it does still get a lot of dust on the exterior of the sander, I could have skipped the goggles and been fine. I did ditch the facemask, just too dang hot and no dust really to speak of. Love Love LOVE it!!!!!

I purchased this tool to help me refinish a 30 year old cedar front door and two spruce garage doors. With coarser sand paper I was able to remove the old varnish and stain quite easily. The finishing grit sandpaper gave me a nice surface to apply new stain and top coat. Trouble free operation over the three days of sanding.

This machine sands really well. But I believe the dust collector is built incorrectly. It does not snap together like it should. It leave air space at the back end, so much of the dust is blown out through the crack. I found it impossible to log back into the Bosch site where the sander is registered. BOSCH: please look at the attached photo and see if the top and bottom are supposed to snap together with the tabs and slots cut as they are. I tried to attach photos but your website would not accept them….simple jpegs. BOSCH: Please contact me!
