Much quieter than my other sander and with less vibration, assuming you learn how to use it. While I can use the whole surface of the Older sander, the Bosch works best only using one half on the pad surface at a time. The on/off switch is a little old school but easier to use than my other sander. Makes a nice smooth surface and is comfortable to hold.

Love this sander! I have to make sure to clean out the filter frequently, depending on the amount of sanding I’m doing. The speed control is great for being able to sand smaller, more sensitive areas. Definitely recommend.

Great sander, many speed options with the dial, and great for leveling. Only complaint was the vacuum hose adapter Is held on by a little silicone O-ring and it slips out fairly easy. Other then that, it works great with the dust collection box supplied in the box.

The Bosch Random Orbital Sander has been easy to use although the dust cover was difficult to remove for me. The dust collection could use improvement as dust gathers on the outside of the sander and very little seems to end up in the dust collector. Overall the sander does a great job of sanding and is easy to use.

I bought this sander to finish a sewing drawer insert I made for my wife from baltic birch plywood. I previously had a Porter-Cable model that quit. I used this sander with Diablo sanding pads and was very happy with the finish it left. The random orbit motion takes a bit of getting used to. It seems a bit more forceful than my old model, but I got the hang of it quickly. The on-board dust collection is great, and the container is easy to remove and clean out – much better than a bag. The variable speed allows you to easily control the sander’s force. Note that the kit only comes with one 120-grit sanding disc. You’ll need more if you don’t have any on hand. This model also came with a soft carry bag.
