The Bosch 5 in. Palm Random Orbit Sander Kit is designed to give carpenters, cabinet makers, woodworkers and others exactly what they want, beginning with great performance and results. The optimized combination of pad orbit and rotation delivers fast removal and a well-blended, ultra-smooth finish. Bosch’s integral pad dampening system, a pad breaking system, is designed to eliminate swirl marks, the most common complaint of sander users. The finish quality is further enhanced with the soft, microcellular backing pad that ensures smoothness on flat or contoured surfaces.

Solid tool, I do have to slow down on my cuts because the blade has enough play in it that it creates a bevel. Aside from having to sand the bevels down this saw does a great job

The sander is a great product!!! It is well built and so easy to use with little to no effort. It fits your hand like a glove and the on off switch are so easy to use. I would recomend this sander over any other one. An awesome product that is well thought out, easy to use and works great. The filter is easy to take off and put on and clean. The sander also comes with a vacuum attachment that fist easily on to a shop vac.

I’ve owned this for several years and have put it through quite a bit of use. The variable speed is great for using on many different types of material. I’ve even had success sanding latex paint on lower settings. I haven’t used the filter much so I don’t know how well it works but when I hook it up to a shop vac for dust collection, it doesn’t leave much dust behind at all. I’ve used it for several hours at a time and it doesn’t get hot. Some of that may be due to the vacuum hose pulling air through during use. Either way, I’ve used other sanders and favor this Bosch for the ergonomics, long cord, and the random orbit is really excellent compared to others I’ve used. I haven’t had any swirls left in any of my finishes.

I had an old Bosch sander that has served me well over the years. I decided to get newer technology and went for another Bosch. This sander was exactly as represented in the ads. It was aggressive about sanding cherry and left a smooth clean surface when the dust collector was attached. I found that I was easily able to complete a large sanding project in very little time and my arms did not experience the exhaustion that I was used to on my older sander. Over all it is a good replacement for a workhorse that I have used for year.
