This review is not about the blades – with which I already had experience. This 5-star review is about the shopping process. I knew what I needed. I used the online functions to establish that my local store had them in-stock, and to provide aisle and bin numbers so that my purchase trip could be totally efficient. In case readers are curious about the blades… I am using them in a Bosch jigsaw (good but not top of line) to do lengthwise 40″ slightly-curved cuts in 1.25″ thick cherry. Slow, and just-barely, with some unavoidable stop/start marks, and with a little bit of deflection in some grain areas, but close enough for my project. In steady-run areas, the cut is true and smooth. And totally smooth on cross-grain cuts.

I have use many other brands, but I must say that these blades are a better buy, Why you ask ? They stay sharper, don’t bend from the heat of use, and out last the other brands two to one.

I bought these jigsaw blades because they were longer in length, and stated they could cut wood fast. I began using them on my 10 year old deck. In many places, the deck boards had swelled and closed the gap between them, with no place for rainwater to drain. Some boards were rotting so I had to reopen that gap by jigsawing down some portions of the length of each board, where closure had occurred.I was happy with the performance of the Bosch blades for the first few minutes, but they began to get dull quickly. Even though my deck boards are softer 10 year old pressure-treated wood, the blades went dull within 5 minutes or less and had to be changed out within 10 minutes.Unfortunately, Home Depot stocks only Bosch jigsaw blades in my local store, so I had no other choices in blades to select.
