Haven’t used it yet; having hard time finding a dado set that fits and is affordable. The sets at Home Depot were not all clearly marked with an arbor size, so couldn’t compare to the set that WAS marked with the appropriate arbor size.

This insert is made by Bosch. It’s made of metal not cheap plastic like some other manufacturers sell. It looks and fits just like the original insert that comes with the 4100 table saw except the slot is wider to accommodate a dado blade. It also has adjustment screws in each corner for precise leveling.The quality is very good and the price is great. I highly recommend it.

I read many reviews on Amazon about this product stating this dado insert was made of cheap plastic. I was surprised when I read a customer review saying it was metal on this Home Depot web site.I’m glad Bosch started manufacturing this insert from metal. The engineering is great. When looking at the back of this insert you can see how strong and well thought out the construction is. I under stand why Home Depot offers the service of free pick up at their stores. I always buy other items I need when I pick them up. I love the cadmium deep red of this insert and how it looks with the Prussian blue of the saw and neutral gray of the table of the top.
