The Bosch VAC140AH 14-Gallon Dust Extractor with Auto Filter Clean and HEPA Filter provides a complete package that is designed to help users move toward compliance with the OSHA silica dust regulation. The dust extractor delivers a maximum 150-cubic-feet-of-air-per-minute rate (CFM), with a sustainable 97 in. static water lift (maximum). The automatic on-board filter-cleaning system activates every 15 seconds to help maintain maximum suction power. The included HEPA filter captures 99.97% of particles at 0.3 microns and larger. The included fleece filter bag helps to protect the filter and provides the optimal containment of dry dust and debris. The dust extractor also has power tool activation that allows the tool to activate the vac and a Power Broker dial to match the suction force to application.

I bought this Bosch dust collector two days ago. I inboxed it yesterday. I was anxious to use it with my Bosch sander on a project, since after make many researches on the Web about breathing wood dust particles smaller than 1micon. After unboxing, I found out that the 0.3 micron dust filter and dust bag were missing from the box and were not in the vacuum either. I opened a problem request on the Bosch Web site. I am currently waiting on Bosch to get back to me, hopping they will ship the missing parts to me soon, so I can go on with my project. Being a very responsible company, I am quite certain that Bosch will follow up and send me the missing parts.

I have appreciated the quality, reliability, and functionality of my Bosch tools, and I decided to invest in the Bosch shop vacuum since it would work with many of my power tools.Let the fact my wife allows me to continue drawing breath as a testament to the return on investment with this shop vacuum- I may have made the purchase without giving her a thorough heads up. We recently purchased a project home, and it was evident we would need to purchase a shop vacuum. She was very skeptical about the cost of this shop vacuum, yet after connecting our Bosch random orbital sander to the vacuum’s auto-vac feature- she was convinced I had made a wise choice with this purchase. I sanded an entire room after patching all the damaged drywall we repaired, and the vacuum successfully collected all the particulates right through the sander.I intend to invest in the additional dust collection accessories for our Bosch drill, jigsaw, and oscillating tool. I also recommend the VAC011 nozzle kit.

Just what I needed. I was looking for a dust extractor to dedicate to orbital sanding. It set up easily, had the connectors I needed in the box, and works very well. Of special note is the HEPA filter and the Auto Filter Clean, so important for handling fine sanding dust. One note: this is a dust extractor. I would not prefer it as a wet/dry shop vac although it could probably perform those duties if necessary. l
