With a compact design, Companion 20 Multimedia Speaker System from Bose consists of two speakers with enough oomph to handle audio for all of your movies, games, and music on your computer. The speakers feature Bose’s TrueSpace technology to reproduce wide, natural sound and also rely upon an advanced ported design for delivering deep bass notes. The speakers maintain a balanced sound with a built-in active electronic equalization technology.
This speaker system comes with a control pod that features a headphone input jack as well as a 3.5mm auxiliary input jack that allows you to connect an MP3 player. This control pod also allows you to adjust or mute the volume. The system connects to your computer’s 3.5mm input jack and is AC-powered.

I purchased my Companion 20’s in early 2013 and it is almost 2020. This speaker has not lost it’s luster one bit. The unit is aesthetically pleasing and still relevant, granted it’s an older speaker. The sound is beyond impressive for something it’s size. I’m more than likely going to buy a second pair for my gaming PC soon.

Sure they sound great hooked up to the PC for Video Gaming, Music, etc. But then I decided to try them instead of the speakers on my flat screen TV, grabbing the output directly from my satellite receiver. Incredible. And with the aux jack, I can plug my iPad in to play music. I suppose if you are an audiophile, the dynamic range will fall short of your expectations, but for the rest of us, this is a sweet solution. I moved to Europe, and the speakers play the sound from my TV cable box, and my PC is plugged into the aux port. All I needed was an plug adapter as the power supply is 110V 60hz to 240V 50hz. You only need to leave the cable or satellite box powered on to listen to music stations. The TV can be turned off. Thanks Bose.

Don’t expect the same audio as in the store, the acoustics are different place to place. I’m not sure yet if I’m hearing the full sound at home, but maybe it’s just me. Also it doesn’t say on the box if these are digital or not, and these are not, a disappointment to me for this kind of money. Just the dollar amount says they are digital. I won’t let that get in the way of enjoying them, so much better than what I had. Listening to R Kelly now and they sound great.

I have bought these speakers for my new iMac Pro, previously had Companion 2 Series III, and I am very very happy with them. Companion 2s, in my opinion, looked very ugly and did not compliment my clean Mac setup. On the other hand, Bose companion 20s offer very rich sound, the best of any PC/Mac speakers that I ever owned, and although I am not entirely happy with the power that the speakers give, I am very happy for everything else. Puck works awesome, very nice experience in turning them on/off and volume rocking, not so happy with the price I’ve paid ether, but I got everything that I’ve wanted for the best computer speakers. I trust in Bose and I will stay with them for the future 😀 Recommendation for all Mac users that want the best speakers, that look good, and with less cable jungle! Cheers!

It’s been around 5-6 years since I own these speakers, the quality is just amazing, and they still work almost perfectly (1 wire for the left speaker is sensitive and if you slightly move it then it wont play on the left speaker but other than that its perfect).

When it comes to speakers, some people think that bigger is better. The Bose Companion 20 proves them wrong!!! I use them with the Sony Tablet S and the Motorola Droid 2 Global Smart Phone. Small speakers, outstanding sound quality, priceless…

I am a long-time Bose customer. I bought the Companion 20 for my exercise room to use with an MP3 player. I didn’t want the separate sub due to space restrictions so that’s mainly why I decided on these. The sound is solid with fairly deep bass and crisp, clear sound for a 2 speaker system. They would work well as computer or gaming speakers for most users. If you have the space for the separate subwoofer or are a hardcore audiophile though I recommend to spend a little more for the Companion 5. The Companion 20 is very good and better than most 2 speaker systems, but it doesn’t compare to the spacious sound and really deep bass that the separated components of the Companion 5 provides. I like these, but I love my Companion 5!

I just got these speakers yesterday – after trying maybe 20 or more other speakers in the store – these one were clearly the best of the bunch and very reasonably priced for the quality. But the big surprise came when I installed them at home and went through my music library – I was blown away – they are clear with powerful basses even without subwoofer! I love them – best computer speakers I ever had.

I have owned these speakers for two years now. I was looking to replace my older basic Bose speakers that ended up at school with my wife. This set doesn’t take up much space on my desk at all. I sit in an area away from the over head music at work (fortunately as I can jam with my music). Half the time I listen to talk radio, and the other half music. The depth is clear and makes me feel as if I have a much larger system. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a compact in size, but not sound, system for work of office space.

Bose has always made very good speakers, and this is no exception. After getting these speakers, I noticed many improvements. Sound quality in general was very crisp, and base was great. When changing the volume, there was no fuzzy sound or static. Very good speakers, and the control module is a nice touch.

Everything Bose Sounds great and this is no exception. I don’t recommend this speaker for a person that want a super deep sound or a explosive sound system. This system is made to enjoy good music with no more than 1 or 2 meters of distance. Instrumental music, new age and classics like Frank Sinatra sounds very natural and spaced. Companion 20 is special for use with a computer in a desktop.
