With a compact design, Companion 20 Multimedia Speaker System from Bose consists of two speakers with enough oomph to handle audio for all of your movies, games, and music on your computer. The speakers feature Bose’s TrueSpace technology to reproduce wide, natural sound and also rely upon an advanced ported design for delivering deep bass notes. The speakers maintain a balanced sound with a built-in active electronic equalization technology.
This speaker system comes with a control pod that features a headphone input jack as well as a 3.5mm auxiliary input jack that allows you to connect an MP3 player. This control pod also allows you to adjust or mute the volume. The system connects to your computer’s 3.5mm input jack and is AC-powered.

These speakers has outstanding sound, which they are hook up to my iPhone and television. I use headphones connected to the speakers, which works well. I use RCA wire in which they are gold plated to obtain top quality sound and solid connection.

I am a strong believer in the idea of getting what you pay for. BOSE let me down this time. The clarity of the sound is very good, and I really like the control pod and being able to plug in other devices, but I listen to music on my pc quite often and the lack of bass is immediately obvious and frustrating. I’ve gotten used to it and will keep them for now (because of how much I paid). I came to the website to see if there was a subwoofer option or add on. wishful thinking. I’ll continue buying BOSE products but NEVER AGAIN without trying it out first.

i bought the Companion 20 computer speakers and as always was amazed at the true quality.My first experience with Bose was in the mid 70s with the 901 loudspeakers which blew me away..since then ive owned the 601s, 301s..never have i been disappointed with the purchase.i do however would love to see BOSE come back with the 901s

I bought these around 4 years ago and have used them extensively every day for everything from music to movies. They produce rich, balanced sound (the best I’ve ever had the pleasure of owning) at all volumes. I noticed some crackling when I bought them, and the left speaker would cut out, but it turned out to be a defective 3.5mm cable. Once I replaced that, they’ve performed perfectly ever since. Cat knocked the left speaker off the desk onto a hardwood floor recently and the speaker was lightly dented in the corner, but it still works!! Definitely no regrets with my purchase.

Living in poverty so long, I didn’t know music could sound so good! My health is so bad, with no hope of getting treatment without a ton of money, that I’m lucky to be alive every day. So I thought, why not, and found a way to finance these speakers. I know, sad that I have to finance something less than $500… Also, to have good sound, along with good bass, for a computer setup, almost always requires that 3rd giant speaker for the bass. I had even tried a couple of those before these, and these wound up sounding even better than the ones with three speakers! There are quite a bit of wires, but when getting a sound setup for a desktop computer or a laptop? If you want the best possible sound quality, that takes up the least amount of space? Then you can stop searching, because these speakers would be it, in my opinion of course. There may be something I just never found. If there is though, I can’t imagine that they would sound much better, or cost any less.

These speakers are wicked. Going on a killing spree in GTA V? You’re there and literally dripping in sweat. Flying cross country in a Cessna on Flight Sim? You’re there and unlicensed, expecting fighter jets to intercept you the whole time. Listening to Aphex Twin? You’re in RDJ’s studio, tripping out. These speakers destroy, AND they’re absolutely beautiful.

There are a lot of speakers out there that puts out a lot of power and bass which distorts the way an album was meant to be heard. I have previously used one 4.1, two 2.1 speakers for several years and the Bose Companion 20 is by far my top choice for listening to rock, blues, flamenco or any genre of music. I love the Companion 20 because of its reproduction of original CD audio with a great balance in the different ranges (low frequency bass, mid range vocals and high frequency treble).

I bought this quite a while ago, and was really impressed with it. However since then I’ve had problems with the control pod suddenly turning off, and also the powerpacks cable has ripped open in three places despite laying undisturbed. The quality of the speakers are great, but the wires and cables are poor. And now I can’t use them since the cable is broken and purchasing just the cable isn’t possible.
