Easy installation and good Bose sound quality. I would say that they exceeded my expectations for the price. Not the best but far better than most. A good value.

I used to have two Pioneer 12″ 3-way speakers and Magnavox head hooked into my computer as general purpose use since my computer also acts as our TV for movies. I replaced those with these to cut down on space, and while these little speakers aren’t going to have the same SPL or low end as large tower speakers, they put out quite a bit for their size and have a significantly better sound stage (depth, width, and height). These appear to use the very same drivers as the Bose Waveguide that I have sitting in my living room. Just make sure you use an external DSP with these, and you will be happy!

Pretty awful product that only occasionally works when connected to my MacBook Pro. I went out on a limb buying this product and greatly regret it.

These speakers came highly recommended by a B&H Sales Associate. They are a hundred times better than the speakers on any computer. They have great clarity and nice punchy low end. For general use and most music they are simply brilliant. I use them with my 13in MacBook Pro and I am wondering why I didn’t get them much sooner. I have only one gripe: the little notch to indicate volume level is illegible. In dim light it’s impossible to tell how high the volume is. Other than that, if you are looking for really good speakers for a computer, here they are.

Easy to assemble, and the sound is crystal clear. Great price, Bose quality.

After several years of putting my Logitech Z-4 2.1 Speaker System through its paces I decided it was time for a change. I purchased the Logitech Z533 2.1 speaker system to replace the Z-4. The Z533 2.1 speaker system is a bass heavy system that is lack luster at best. Enter the Bose Companion 2 Series III 2.0 Speaker system. WOW, I remember back a few years ago I had the Bose Companion Series II and remember the tight crisp sound they produced. I am thrilled to own Bose Speakers again! No comparison whatsoever. These Series III speaker absolutely rock! Well rounded full range sound that is very well balanced. No need for a sub here at all. Get all the low end needed. Thank you Bose for such a great product!

I bought these speakers for christmas and they’re the best speakers I’ve ever owned. They have a amazing sound quality for the price.

I had this for almost 2 years. It is the best desktop speaker I ever had. I like the soft bass. The look is cool and elegant. Compared to other brand, Bose is the best.

I bought these a few weeks ago to replace a JBL 2.1 speaker system. At first I was a little hesitant but I have put them through their paces over the last 2 weeks and they are perfect in every way.

I have owned these speakers for nearly a year. While the sound is fine and what one would expect for the relatively small cost, the speaker connection design is flawed. It requires several plugging and unplugging efforts to get the right speaker and left speaker operating at the same time. Frequently, this does not happen at all. The right and left are connected to one another with a wire that is embedded permanently in one speaker and plugs into the port of the other. The male connector at the end of the attached wire does not fit tightly enough to make a good connection at all times (it’s loose) and because it is permanent configured as opposed to having a detached wire with male connectors on both ends tethering the two speakers, this cannot be fixed with the simple purchase of a new connector wire. VERY poorly engineered. One wonders whether these products are tested in beta mode before release!

I purchased the Bose Companion 2 speakers for use at my desk with my laptop. I’ve had experience with a previous model and they’ve only improved. The sound is rich and strong from such a small speaker, the bass could be more, but without a subwoofer, its deep and strong enough for what most people would use these speakers for. Additionally I enjoy the dual input, on the back of the main speaker, there is an aux line in for the computer and a second one for any other device. Great speakers, great price! Worth the time !

I use these speakers at my photo studio…it’s a huge open space. These speakers fill the studio with wonderful sounds

Replaced my old speakers with these, and they are outstanding. I can’t give you technical feedback other than I don’t get the base vibration or hiss like my previous speakers. Just love these speakers, music sounds great and I would recommend them.

Clear, natural sound. I use these for video editing, as they seem to match well with the Sony MDR-7506 headphones I use. Other then great sound, there’s not much else to say about them. The headphone jack is a life saver, because Adobe Premiere/Windows would switch sound drivers when I plugged headphones directly into the computer, sometimes requiring a software restart. These solve that problem.

I play these through my laptop at work, mainly streaming spotify through the stock sound card so no fancy sound system in play. I have the speakers abut three feet apart and about three feet from my chair, so the sound has a chance to spread out before it gets to me. In some cases this distance could spell disaster for computer speakers, as any bass and mid-tones are lost or muddied by the time they get to me. Not true with these speakers. They can fill the room when turned up, without sounding like they are straining, and the bass is great for computer speakers. I don’t think you could get better bass without adding a subwoofer, and I did not want to devote too much space to my sound system. Had them two weeks at this point and the sound is wonderful for everything from leonard cohen to pentatonix to ringmasters barbershop harmony.

I am basically happy with these speakers. They give good sound and are easy to use. They do not take up too much room on the desk.

I brought these Bose Indigo Blue MediaMate Computer Speakers back in 2000 and they still perform like new.
Nathanael Casper (verified owner) –
I bought them 7 years ago, and they still sound great! I cranked the bass too much on my computer (the bass got too distorted) sound a little clipped when I crank the vol. But they still sound great!

I recently purchased a 22 LED TV to replace a smaller LCD in my master bathroom; yes you read that right, my bathroom. I gotta have my news fix while showering in the morning….I know TMI! Anyway, the built in speakers in the TV are terrible and drove me nuts. These Bose speakers were the answer! Really nice sound; good bass as well. They make watching the occasional movie in the jetted tub, after a great day on the slopes, just a little nicer 🙂
