For convenience, there is also a volume control and headphone jack.

The sound is OK. Nothing spectacular. A bit more bass would have been preferable. Disappointed that the speaker wire was not long enough to allow hookup. It would have been nice to have a minimum 6-foot cord.

I have had these Bose companion 2 series III for two weeks and am very impressed with sound quality. When I play uncompressed music thru them they really sound fantastic ! True stereo sound , can hear all the instruments in complicated songs , Thank You Bose

After owning this product for almost 1 year, the right one doesn’t sound anymore, I have to keep moving the cord so it can sound like the left one, the left one sounds perfect, I didn’t use it daily, my usage was for like 20 mins to 3 hrs, and a few days a weeks. I will have to switch to Logitech that will come with a sub-woofer.

My old Boston Acoustics computer sound system finally bit the dust so I needed a new speaker set up. Considering available space and requirements I only wanted a set of two quality speakers. These fit the bill. The on/off / volume switch is convenient and the speakers hooked up easily. While I probably don’t have the best ear in the world I know what I like in my music and these speakers deliver. I feel they were a good value.

i’ve had my speakers for almost TEN years. we are avid bose fans and owners. we’ve had the 901s for something like 20 years and they’re still kickin’. and we also own the lifestyle 12 for about 10 years. i’ve had these companion 2 speakers for a long time and they’ve travelled with me all over the world and i’ve had them plugged into all kinds of computers. the style is sleek and timeless (the original grey). the sound is just now starting to go out on the right speaker. i use them almost daily since my computer is my main source of music in my house. i will be replacing and upgrading when i get the chance.

I replaced my laptop computer speakers with these speakers and I LOVE them! I had speakers attached to my laptop but the connector was bad and I didn’t know how to fix it. I wish I had purchased these Bose speakers sooner! I have been shut-in for very long…since before the pandemic crisis, with health problems. I have these speakers hooked up to my 27 iMac and their sound output is amazing. Watching movies on my large screen Mac with these speakers rivals my large flat screen for both sound and picture. Very happy with them and highly recommend them.

I give narrated powerpoint presentations in schools and libraries and use several short video clips complete with sound. Even though the hall may have its own sound system I use for the microphone, the small Bose system, quickly installed and turned up full tilt, fills all but the largest auditorium. Not knee bending bass, but clarity for the verbal and instrumental content.

True to its Bose reputation, these speakers do not disappoint. Sound output is balanced, with great acoustical nuances. My only quibble is that the supplied wires are on the short side which matters if your computer desk is wide and/or you want to spread out the speaker placements. Well worth the extra cost!

Love these speakers for the computer. I found they can be a little dull sounding, but if you’re not afraid of a little equalizer tuning on the computer, they will sound great. aux-in is perfect to have connected to my tv and computer at the same time in my office. can switch automatically without pressing buttons
