Has a timer shutoff. 2 sizes of burner. Seems to work very well. This was bought as a replacement for another electric hot plate type cooker that the plastic on and off heat adjustment wheel went bad on. This one is the best that I’ve seen yet.

I purchased it for an efficiency and its perfect. Burners lit up immediately and it has two timers. The handles make it easy to move even when its hot and smooth surface easy to clean.

Excellent unit it responds very quickly to temperature adjustments, also great safety feature to have the timer if you forget to unplug after using it it will turn off. Cleans very easy and of the 2nd to the most expensive but the area outside of the burner it doesn’t get hot in case you accidentally touch rest assure you don’t need to worry that it may burn you. of the 5 units I purchased they range in prices $41, $43, $46, $73, this Brentwood unit was $66 well worth it for the multi-purposes
