The filters have an easy-hold grip and click button for simple insertion and removal. Change these filters every 40 gallons, about 2 months for the average family, for best performance. Add water and discard first pitcher of water to flush out system; activate the electronic indicator. Replace the water filter every 40 Gal. or change filter as directed by the electronic indicator. Do not use with hot water

Even though they do not advertise the Whole House Brita filter it is a great filter to use. The WHF-205 really does improve taste as well has keeping our drinking water tasting great and smelling good. Glad we put in this whole house water filtration system
