I bought this Monterrey pitcher about three months ago and it’s been a great purchase. Pitcher sits in fridge door and holds 10 cups. There is an indicator light on top that tells you when to replace the filter, which is every 6 months. Very pleased and easy to refill.

The title speaks for itself! When getting a new fridge for the family, my dad insisted in a two door fridge with a front water dispenser BUT my mom knew and swore by brita that was a bad idea. On my second trimester use of the Monterey pitcher, the Longlast filter began to slow up, water trickled. Then white sludge drops began to form at base of filter. The Longlast filter had processed some questionable contaminants that gathered enuf to make a presence. It was scary to see, and undefinable. Yet early replacement and water filtering is back to being clear and no drops present at base of new filter.
