I actually have no Idea how well this product works but experience with similar products has shown me that they work well to reduce odors in the water and generally make ice taste better. I installed this filter in a new filter case on the 5th of July 2020 for use in a new refrigerator. The machine has made some ice so we have dumped the first couple of loads so the ice should be good. Later today I intend to use some in a cool drink. As with a lot of these reviews, I am asked to review a product long before I have had a chance to really evaluate it. All I can say at this point is that everything looks good.
