So far our experience with this filter is good. We like that it filters down to 0.5 micron and removes metals. We changed to this unit from a different unit and cant complain.

I like the filter, but the container that the filter fits in is a lot of trouble. I’m looking into something else. I can never get it to stop leaking and have to call a plumber and they even said it should not be that hard to tighten this. It’s an under the sink model and that’s not easy to access in itself; however, but to stop it from leaking, we had to use plumber tape and something else to get it to stop.

The filter was delivered earlier than expected, installed and fit the Omni Model OT-2 under-sink system and performed as expected.It was installed in December 2018 and when I needed another in September 2019, it was unavailable. ?????

bought this to replace the expensive GE filters that home depot no longer seems to carry. Specs seem to be on par with the GE FXULC or FXUVC. Hard to say, as they no longer had those on the shelf to compare. However, at half the price of the GE filters, the Brita level 4 filter does list a lot of contaminants removed. No way to test it, but supposedly a certified filter, and the water does seem clean and clear. Will buy again when this one is used up.

I just changed-out this filter today, after six months, and was amazed at the weight difference between the old/wet unit and the new/dry one. Wetness adds weight of course, but it was an extreme difference I wasn’t expecting. At $40/6months, this is a tiny price to pay. So glad that I’ve had a different filter on my shower-head for years now. Don’t drink or bathe in chlorine.
