While it definitely filtered the water as it should, and installation wasn’t tough, my problem was the “kitchen faucet adapter” that ties in the water filter to the faucet water line and main water line: it started leaking after two weeks.While it was designed for a 1/2” line and not 3/8” like my home, I spent $10 on the parts needed to adapt to my line. That “kitchen faucet adapter” is plastic and is not strong to connect to metal and keep the seal. I called Brita and they took my info and will supposedly contact me soon again to help me with the issue. Hopefully they have a part that’s metal!

I am spending too much money on bottled water and just got tired of plastic bottles everywhere. When you have a family of 4, that’s a lot of bottles that accumulates. This system by Brita solves that issue. Took no time to install, roughly about 45 mins and my family and I were drinking fresh tasting tap water in no time. I am happy with this purchase and thinking of getting one for the bathroom.

The installation was pretty straightforward. This unit was replacing an older filtration system that had failed (not a Brita system.) After a few days, there was a wet smell coming from the undersink cabinet. Turns out the canister was seeping from where it screws into the base. Couldn’t tighten it further. Wound up putting consumer safe grease on the o-ring, and putting Teflon tape on the threads of the base. Doesn’t leak, now.

The included gasket in the plastic connector for the waterline was not sufficient to create a tight seal. No matter how tightly I connected it, water leaked everywhere. So, I added two additional gaskets. Problem solved. I knocked off a star for that, because my should-have-been-a-half-hour install turned into a three hour project. I would suggest they consider including an extra gasket or two in the kit. Now that it is installed, it works fine. I kept the existing Culligan faucet filter on, which was helping but not completely fixing the taste of the tap water. With both the Brita below sink and the Culligan above, I am finally good with drinking my faucet water without gagging… thank you.
