The price is right and it works well. I noticed that when it is full, the water pressure drops significantly. This tells me that it actually filters the water. I have used others that would keep letting water through and left the casing much dirtier.

The filter works well but the dark color will make it harder to see if it is dirty. I prefer the 5 micron HDX filters but they do not seem to be available anymore.

These are excellent filters. We prefer the in line water filters to the ones that attach to the faucet, and these do an excellent job. Being charcoal filled it is important to let the water the water run for a few minutes after changing the filter to wash out any charcoal dust that may be in the filter. We change our filters every three months and always have fresh, clean water to drink, shower with, and do laundry with. I highly recommend these filters.
