I purchased these for my golf cart. I love them. The battery pack is quite large. I just laid it in the glove box. They are beautiful! Big and bright bulbs!

Bought 2 sets. On one set the green and blue bulbs would not light. I switched red and yellow bulbs into those sockets, still the bulbs would not light. The blue and green worked where the red and yellow were so I know the bulbs were okay. Just couldn’t figure out how certain sockets were affected and other were not. The string that worked was quite nice and the timer worked just fine. Bought 3 strings last year and those worked fine again this year. No problem returning the defective set to the local store. Went to re-order but the product was out of stock.

I like these! They look nice, and I like how you set it once and it stays on for 6 hours and off for 18 hours, and stays on that cycle indefinitely (until the batteries run out). There is not a “timer” so-to-speak – you’re not setting a time for them to start; you just have to push the ON button when you want the cycle to start. In one respect that is kind of annoying because you have to actually be home to set them the first time, but that’s a minor complaint.In reference to another reviewer… THE TRICK TO OPENING THE BATTERY CONTAINER IS UNSCREWING IT AT ALL 4 CORNERS. The instructions don’t tell you to do this, so failure on the manufacturer’s part (made in China), but once I saw the screws I figured it out.One other minor complaint is the string of lights really isn’t very long – I wished the lights were spaced further apart. It would take 3-4 of these sets to go across the front of my house, and my house is only 900 sq. ft. But since I don’t have any electrical outlets on the front of my house, these battery-operated lights are really the only option for me.
