   I bought 2 sets in 2012 for windows in the house. Set them & forget it! Out of 2 sets (12) only 1 didn’t work – not too bad because it’s a great price. They look great from the outside and the automatic on/off feature is so convenient. They are out of stock now, but I plan on ordering more early next year.

   This product was a gift for a family member. They were rather difficult to twist open, but each of them worked just fine, once we added the batteries. Yes, it met my expectations.

   I received these candles about a week before Christmas. Once they were loaded up with batteries and turned on they have been great and still going 2 weeks later. They come on around 4:30PM and go off sometime in the early morning hours. They all come on and go off at the same time, no running around. I do wish they were a little brighter but from the street they do look like a real flickering candle in the window. My best Christmas deco purchase this year.

   The candle lights come on as the sun sets and stay lit for several hours as promised. They are virtually maintenance free and work as promised. I’m pleased with them! My only complaint would be that they are made to look like real candles (they even flicker) but are not as bright as the kind you plug in. So you trade convenience for brightness I suppose. I’d still buy them again though.

   I love these candles BUT I had to throwaway every one that used last year. The bulb just wears out for some reason after one season of use. Furthermore, about 2 out of the 6 candles I opened this year do not work. Still, they are inexpensive and you do get what you pay for.

   These battery operated window candles flicker with an orange, bright bulb that can be seen from at least 50 feet, probably more.Because the tops have to be screwed down tight into the candle sticks, I had to use a pliers, carefully. Of the two packs (12 candles) I bought, four didn’t work.

    Like other reviewers said, it can be a little tricky getting the switch back on the candle after loading the batteries. I had to actually look at the directions to be sure I was doing it right. Once you get the hang of it, it’s no problem.These are super convenient with the timer- turn them on once, don’t worry about them until you take them down in January. With no cords! Gotta love it. They look nice, too, if you’re OK with fake candles (I am, my husband not so much).The only problem is that the switch mechanism is flimsy. I bought two packs of six, twelve total, and nine of them work. I like them so well, though, that I’m going to order another pack to replace the broken ones and hopefully have a few spares.

    I really like these candles! They look great, and the automatic 8-hour shut-off is great for battery life and convenience. The flicker is a nice effect, too. The only think that I’m not crazy about is the color of the “flame” – it’s a little more warm than I’d prefer. I though it would be much brighter than it actually is. It still looks very nice in the window frames at night time, though!

    These candles look lovely in my windows with their warm flickering “flames.” Easy assembly (battery insertion) and the automatic 8 hours on 16 hours off is perfect. Great product!

    I leave mine up all year. Makes your home more inviting and there is nothing like driving up your driveway with these flickering in your window.
