Compact and fully-featured, the HL-L2390DW All-In-One Monochrome Laser Printer from Brother will find itself welcome in both the home or small offices. An all-in-one design makes it a great choice for space-conscious offices as it fits printing, scanning, and copying within a single unit. Also, the printing capabilities are very good with a max resolution of 2400 x 600 dpi and print speeds of up to 32 ppm. The printer can also work with documents up to 8.5 x 14″ in size using the 250-sheet input tray or one-sheet manual feed slot.
Scanning and copying is made possible through the inclusion of an 8.5 x 11.7″ flatbed. Also, an optical resolution of 1200 x 1200 dpi ensures that scans are detailed and sharp. For operation, the HL-L2390DW has a two-line monochrome LCD for checking current status and settings. Additionally, it features Wi-Fi connectivity, alongside standard USB 2.0, for completely wireless operation and support for direct printing from mobile devices.

It’s hard to imagine getting something better for the price. Printing, scanning, and copying all work fine, and with WIFI, you can put the printer wherever you want w/o having to deal with wires. Quality is just fine. The one area that would be an opportunity for improvement might be in scanning. If you’re trying to scan something that is faint (like a receipt for something that has to be submitted for reimbursement), it would be nice to get a preview of the output so that you can see exactly what the setting adjustments are doing. Since you can’t do that, it’s hit and miss. For items where the image isn’t faint, no issues. Another plus, while I’ll admit I can’t recall all the details, has to do with drivers. I got the impression that whenever new drivers might be needed, I shouldn’t run into issues. So, overall, I’m very pleased and it would be unreasonable to expect more for the $.

I needed a scanner function but I also knew I could skimp on color at this point. I am SO glad I found this one. My dad recommended a laser printer, as it’s more cost efficient. This has all the features I need and prints beautifully. I am not technically savvy at all and this was a breeze to set up. I cannot get my iPhone to connect so that I can print directly from there. However, I will figure it out one day soon & I don’t think it takes away from how great this printer is – especially b/c I know it’s possible. Overall, great, quality buy for a great price. Seriously can’t beat it!

There is no instuction manual with the machine. The five page booklet is not an instruction manual but merely talks about the machine in five different lanuagages. Further when you go to make a copy on the glass there is no hightly visable mark to line up the original on the glass so that the copy comes out “centered”, what comes out is a copy with too much space on one side and no margin on the other. Scanner does not work efficiently. Too easy to make more than one copy of each page.

Everything about this printer is great. But the best part is it worked with wi-fi right out of the box. I’ve owned dozens of printers over the years, the last 8 or 9 wi-fi enabled. None of them connected perfectly on the first try and kept that connection indefinetly (still working!). Fantastic! I’ll be buying another one for my other house.
