Compact and fully-featured, the HL-L2390DW All-In-One Monochrome Laser Printer from Brother will find itself welcome in both the home or small offices. An all-in-one design makes it a great choice for space-conscious offices as it fits printing, scanning, and copying within a single unit. Also, the printing capabilities are very good with a max resolution of 2400 x 600 dpi and print speeds of up to 32 ppm. The printer can also work with documents up to 8.5 x 14″ in size using the 250-sheet input tray or one-sheet manual feed slot.
Scanning and copying is made possible through the inclusion of an 8.5 x 11.7″ flatbed. Also, an optical resolution of 1200 x 1200 dpi ensures that scans are detailed and sharp. For operation, the HL-L2390DW has a two-line monochrome LCD for checking current status and settings. Additionally, it features Wi-Fi connectivity, alongside standard USB 2.0, for completely wireless operation and support for direct printing from mobile devices.

I received an email stating that there is a security update available. I attempted to follow the directions to load the update. The update wouldn’t update because the update process was terrible and didn’t offer a button to download.

The printer prints well and I like the double sided auto feature. However, it often does not pick up on some on line bills that I want to print unless I download them, close out and re-open the download. I find this very bothersome, never had this happen with my HP wireless printer. Also, sometimes It kicks the breaker partially in the room the printer is in.

Considering the price, this is a good solid printer. It copies and prints well. Installation with Window 10 was very easy. My only negative comments has to do with setting up the wireless connection. I did not find good documentation included and had to figure it out in a hit or miss fashion.

When my my ancient HP-Laserjet 5p gave up the ghost, it didn’t take long to gravitate to Brother. I’m dazzled by the new printer’s speed and efficiency and ease of use. Although the setup instructions defeated this vintage non-techie, with the help of a relative the printer was quickly humming into action. Love it. Everything about it is just right, including the price.

The printer itself is excellent. It prints fast, and I love that it will print both sides of the paper. Setup was a bit difficult, but I eventually got it. The scanner scans great, but I had to configure it so it wasn’t putting a 4×6 picture on an 8 1/2×11 canvas. Overall, I’m very pleased with the printer
