Compact and fully-featured, the HL-L2390DW All-In-One Monochrome Laser Printer from Brother will find itself welcome in both the home or small offices. An all-in-one design makes it a great choice for space-conscious offices as it fits printing, scanning, and copying within a single unit. Also, the printing capabilities are very good with a max resolution of 2400 x 600 dpi and print speeds of up to 32 ppm. The printer can also work with documents up to 8.5 x 14″ in size using the 250-sheet input tray or one-sheet manual feed slot.
Scanning and copying is made possible through the inclusion of an 8.5 x 11.7″ flatbed. Also, an optical resolution of 1200 x 1200 dpi ensures that scans are detailed and sharp. For operation, the HL-L2390DW has a two-line monochrome LCD for checking current status and settings. Additionally, it features Wi-Fi connectivity, alongside standard USB 2.0, for completely wireless operation and support for direct printing from mobile devices.

I don’t usually do reviews, but we are so happy with this printer, that I thought I should. First, we had no problems setting it up. We just followed the instructions that came with the printer. It probably took 10 minutes. The only problem we’ve had so far is one time the computer had a problem connecting to the printer. We shut the computer off, then back on, and have had no problems since. It’s very quiet, even when printing. When in sleep mode, there is no sound. The copies come out looking good. I do some taxes, so wanted a machine that would have good quality print, and it does.

The set up difficult and confusing. Had to call for support that walked me through a long process to get on line that was not part of the set up documentation. Standard Spectrum WIFI internet with a Neargear router.

No matter what I do the machine does not scan an image into Word or Adobe Illustrator. My set up is by USB cable. I follow the instructions and all I get is ” Connecting to PC ” . This goes on forever! It never connects to the PC and makes the scan. The machine in not user friendly or intuitive. My last machine was a HP Photo Smart which made instant scans. I am very disappointed, I expected more from Brother.
