Compact and fully-featured, the HL-L2390DW All-In-One Monochrome Laser Printer from Brother will find itself welcome in both the home or small offices. An all-in-one design makes it a great choice for space-conscious offices as it fits printing, scanning, and copying within a single unit. Also, the printing capabilities are very good with a max resolution of 2400 x 600 dpi and print speeds of up to 32 ppm. The printer can also work with documents up to 8.5 x 14″ in size using the 250-sheet input tray or one-sheet manual feed slot.
Scanning and copying is made possible through the inclusion of an 8.5 x 11.7″ flatbed. Also, an optical resolution of 1200 x 1200 dpi ensures that scans are detailed and sharp. For operation, the HL-L2390DW has a two-line monochrome LCD for checking current status and settings. Additionally, it features Wi-Fi connectivity, alongside standard USB 2.0, for completely wireless operation and support for direct printing from mobile devices.

I haven’t used the printer very much, but so far I like it. I just did my taxes and printed them out with no problem. I would like to see an improvement with the way it prints envelopes. You have to open the back and push two levers down and then insert the envelope through the front. This does work but I would think Brothers could come up with an improvement.

When printing envelopes the print is very light and it will not print in bold as it does when printing on a sheet of paper. I have been given a number of things to try but none have worked so far. Seems to print fine in print or copy mode.

I really enjoy this product. It was very easy to hook up to my PC as well as my wife’s PC via the wireless connection. Prints extremely fast and is quiet also. The prints out look very good. I am just waiting to see how much i save on toner versus ink!

The set up of this printer went very well. It took 30-45 minutes including downloading updates etc. the only challenge I had was installing the ink cartridge. It was different from my previous Brother printer and took me a few minutes to figure out. It is frustrating when guides do not match what your machine looks like but this was a minor hiccup and overall the process was quite easy. It has worked flawlessly. I have had good success with Brother products over the years and have no reason to think this will not live up to past performance.
