Compact and fully-featured, the HL-L2390DW All-In-One Monochrome Laser Printer from Brother will find itself welcome in both the home or small offices. An all-in-one design makes it a great choice for space-conscious offices as it fits printing, scanning, and copying within a single unit. Also, the printing capabilities are very good with a max resolution of 2400 x 600 dpi and print speeds of up to 32 ppm. The printer can also work with documents up to 8.5 x 14″ in size using the 250-sheet input tray or one-sheet manual feed slot.
Scanning and copying is made possible through the inclusion of an 8.5 x 11.7″ flatbed. Also, an optical resolution of 1200 x 1200 dpi ensures that scans are detailed and sharp. For operation, the HL-L2390DW has a two-line monochrome LCD for checking current status and settings. Additionally, it features Wi-Fi connectivity, alongside standard USB 2.0, for completely wireless operation and support for direct printing from mobile devices.

I brought this printer simply because I didn’t want to spend hundreds of dollars on ink. The price was right. It only uses black toner cartridges and prints 1200 pages per cartridge. This printer works smoothly. I could not be more satisfied with the printers features such as prints, scans and copies. The prints come out so clear and clean. I bought this printer not knowing that in just a few weeks time I would be working from home.

While everything seems fine — good quality and not-too-complicated operating procedures — the unit constantly loses its wi-fi connection and the only way I can seem to get it reconnected is to turn the unit off and on again. It’s bothersome. It seems that whenever it “goes to sleep” that it’s hard to wake up without rebooting. Also this unit is HUGE considering it’s a basic functioning monochromatic printer. It is not a printer for a tight space in a home office. It needs lots of real estate.

It does everything it is supposed to do and it does it right. Easy to set up and the software on the Mac is easy to use. It also works correctly with the iPrint&Scan app on my iPhone.

2 sided printing is a real plus. Especially for the cost. The printing is crisp, quick and inexpensive to own. The only negative on the whole thing is the interface for the scanner. Not exactly intuitive or user friendly. Takes a minute but, this one concern is outweighed by all the other benefits.

Ordered and received within 2 days. The printer does the job as well as I had hoped. The real win here is the fact that they had it in stock. I also appreciated that when I googled the item the B&H link actually worked and was for the correct printer.

This is my second Brother product. I find it to be quick and reliable, and it doesn’t misfeed constantly as some printers do. As a matter of fact, this one hasn’t misfed at all.

This is the smartest purchase I’ve ever paid. Printing is sharp and clear. Have recommended this to a few friends. Thanks for a great product.

My printer usage is very low-volume. I tend to use the scan feature a lot more. I needed a machine that doesn’t dry-out and clog between printings.

Scanner doesn’t show up on Note on a Mac. This is horrible.

WiFi configuration cumbersome. Need to navigate through letters and or numbers in a sequence to reach each intended character. E.g. to type in SSID and password. Caveat, if you make a mistake, you need to go through the procedure again. Also, in scan resolution, it cannot pull up clearly a dry seal stamp on paper. I tried several settings to no avail. I had to use another scanner to get a scan done for this purpose. Printing B/W access via WiFi is fast and reliable. Happy with that feature!

the set up was simple, the print quality is excellent and the print is fast. If your not using your print all the time I suggest this one. Good price good quality

Prints fast. Clean, clear copies. Set up was easy. And when I printed a document from my Kindle Fire, I didn’t have to do any additional set ups. Because it was already on my network, it printed with ease.
