Compact and fully-featured, the HL-L2390DW All-In-One Monochrome Laser Printer from Brother will find itself welcome in both the home or small offices. An all-in-one design makes it a great choice for space-conscious offices as it fits printing, scanning, and copying within a single unit. Also, the printing capabilities are very good with a max resolution of 2400 x 600 dpi and print speeds of up to 32 ppm. The printer can also work with documents up to 8.5 x 14″ in size using the 250-sheet input tray or one-sheet manual feed slot.
Scanning and copying is made possible through the inclusion of an 8.5 x 11.7″ flatbed. Also, an optical resolution of 1200 x 1200 dpi ensures that scans are detailed and sharp. For operation, the HL-L2390DW has a two-line monochrome LCD for checking current status and settings. Additionally, it features Wi-Fi connectivity, alongside standard USB 2.0, for completely wireless operation and support for direct printing from mobile devices.

I’m so tired of having inkjets that call for a new cartridge when I know we only printed a couple or a few dozen sheets and you can still hear ink slosh in the cartridge when you pull it out. Only had this printer a couple of months but have loved the wireless connection to the computer and our phones. I print more stuff now as I’m not as concerned about running out of ink. Don’t miss color at all.

Over all I think this laser is a good buy. It lacks some features found on some inkjet printers in the same price range like color and photo and auto feed but I hardly miss those features. I have not tried printing envelopes yet and I understand from a review that it might be difficult but my biggest peave is getting it to do two sided printing from the printer itself (not from the computer) when I use the touchpad as there are so many steps to do so and make more than one copy at once. Selecting more than one copy puts you in a loop where I somehow get out of making two sided printing after the first page and I waste a lot of paper and toner with one sided prints. I wish once two sided print is selected it would remember that setting till I change it or if there is a button for that or they would come up with a software and or firmware update for that! Maybe on the newer model they have improved on that as I have a 2018 model I think. Otherwise the printer prints sharply and efficiently and it is built quite solidly and the toner is inexpensive and the ink doesn’t clog like with all inkjet printers and doesn’t use up ink for maintenance cycles like all inkjets do. I’ve had a number of different brands and models of inkjets and the laser is by far a better choice for infrequent users like me and for B &W printing. I got a brother because it has been rated the best for a number of years! I am quite happy with this product except for above so I rate it 4 stars for value and crisp, fast copies!

This is my second brother laser printer. My first one lasted more than 10 years in my home office. In my last job (where I retired) I used a brother laser printer daily. As the production manager for a commercial print shop I printed lists of jobs in-process for every employee in each department (pre-press, camera, press, bindery, etc.). I would use two to three reams of paper each week and NEVER had a bad sheet. We only replaced toner cartridges as needed. That’s why I bought one for my home office.

I like that it has a tray with 250 sheet capacity and the wireless feature, but the scan is very very slow

This printer is reliable and cuts operating costs immensely with supply costs reduced from the previous ink jet printer we used.

I love this printer. It was very easy to set up and it works great. I like the benefits of a laser printer over ink jet and this was equivalent price. No more dried out ink cartridges or replacing cartridges every month or so. The mobile printing feature works flawlessly. I can print documents from my i phone without leaving the living room. So far extremely reliable.

The app is simple and easy to use. But the entering the SSID and password for that SSID can be challenging because you only have up/down arrows to select the text. But once you are connected, you are good to go.

Great, reliable printer. My old inkjet use to always dry up always causing me to buy new expensive inkjet cartridges. This printer is always on standby and always works when I need to print documents.
